Where can I buy prickly pear in the valley?

I really want to use prickly pear and an ingredient in a cheese cake but I need prickly pear puree, and I’d rather not substitute with cocktail concentrate or juice.

Anyone know where I can get some fresh prickly pear or even prickly pear purée? Maybe a smaller store, farmers market or something?

Also, once I find some, what are your favorite ways to eat/prepare prickly pear?

Finally finished my (1/2 year) temperature blanket

I started a temperature blanket back in 2024 and by May of that year, I was traveling every other weekend. I had six weddings in the summer and fall and I just fell off and never got back on track. It’s been sitting in the back of my closet for literally over a year and I finally decided I’d rather have a completed half blanket, than a pile in my closet.

It was supposed to be a queen size blanket originally, and with it being completed through end of May, it’s actually the perfect throw size. (Might try a block bc my tension was all over the place, but I’ve never blocked a blanket)

Honestly, it was a good reminder that not everything needs to be some “big thing” and you can just do what you want 😌

Both my apartment and car AC went out. Hi stress 👋

I live in an area that was 117 degrees yesterday, both my apartment and car AC compressors had issues and I had close to no relief. Apartment AC is working again thank GOD.

Ironically not my worst sleep score 😭

Took my car through a car wash and my tires look weird. How can I fix?

Tires are less than a 6 months old, took my car through a drive through car wash and now they’re kind of white? Took these photos right after the car wash so tires were still a bit wet, but now 3 days later they look the same.

Did I mess something up? I’ve never seen this happen before.

Im curious, do you still bring cards to weddings? Why or why not?

My husband and I tend to go to a LOT of weddings and I always thought bringing a card was pretty standard, especially if we just gifted cash through an online registry like honeyfund.

We got married last year and only got a few cards so it made me curious, how many people bring cards to weddings, and why or why not? Is it more of a generation tradition or a dated practice? So curious!

For reference, I’m 28F and I always bring a card (honestly, I feel horrible if I forget).

Edit: I see lots of people saying you need the card for money/check if that’s your gift which I totally get. I mostly meant if you gifted online (like ordered through a registry, and aren’t bringing a physical gift or sent cash digitally through honeyfund/zelle), do you still bring an “empty” card with a note of well wishes to the couple.
