Hi everyone!
For those who don’t know Croch’linguo yet, it’s an app I created to help crocheters translate and understand their patterns. It allows you to translate between French, US English, UK English, and Spanish, taking into account the differences in abbreviations across these languages.
The app is still in beta and is constantly evolving thanks to user feedback. I’ve even set up a dedicated community—r/Crochlinguo—where users can keep up with updates, report bugs, suggest ideas, and share their thoughts on the app.
Speaking of which, I’d love to get your opinion on a new idea!
I was wondering if you’d like to see temporary themes in the app based on the year’s events and holidays.
For example, for Halloween, Croch’linguo could feature dark colors, ghosts, and pumpkins 👻🎃. For Christmas, it might use reds, greens, and Christmas trees… 🎄🎅
Do you think this kind of customization would add value to the app? If so, which holidays or international events would you like to see featured in Croch’linguo?
Feel free to share your ideas! ☺️

Croch’linguo is an app I created to help crocheters understand and translate their patterns. It allows you to translate between French, US English, UK English, and—recently—Spanish, while accounting for the differences in abbreviations across these languages.
The app is constantly evolving thanks to user feedback. To show you how far it has come, here are two photos: the first shows the very first version of Croch’linguo, and the second shows the current version, following eight months of improvements and new features! ✨
As the user base grows, I’ve recently created a dedicated community for Croch’linguo: r/Crochlinguo.
It’s a space where you can stay updated on the latest news, share feedback, report bugs, suggest ideas, and discuss the app’s development. 🧶💬
You’ll also find the link to the app there if you’d like to give it a try!
If you use Croch’linguo or are interested in the project, you’re more than welcome to join!

Hello!
I thought I'd share a few pictures of Croch'linguo, my crochet pattern translation app, for anyone who's curious about how it works.
Picture 1 :
Choose your interface language and select the translation direction. Croch'linguo supports French, English (US), and English (UK), including direct US ↔ UK translation.
Picture 2 :
Switch between languages in just a few taps. The new language selector makes it easy to translate patterns exactly the way you need.
Picture 3 :
Paste or import your crochet pattern as text or PDF, then translate it with a single click. If you have any questions, suggestions, or find a bug, you can now contact me directly from the app using the new Contact button.
I'm often working on improving Croch'linguo, and user feedback has already helped shape new features. If you decide to give it a try, I'd love to hear what you think! 😊
You can find Croch'linguo on the Internet.
Thank you!

Hi everyone!
A couple of weeks ago, I shared my project, Croch'linguo, a web app that translates crochet patterns between French, US English, and UK English. Thanks to everyone who tried it and shared feedback—it really helped!
Since then, I've fixed several bugs, improved the translation system, and expanded the database with many more crochet terms and pattern instructions. The app now handles much more than just abbreviations, and it's becoming more reliable with every update.
I'm now looking for a few crocheters who would be interested in testing it regularly with real patterns. Whether you crochet amigurumi, garments, blankets, shawls, granny squares, lace, or anything else, I'd love to know how the app performs with the patterns you actually use.
If you notice anything that's missing, translated awkwardly, or simply incorrect, please let me know. I haven't received a lot of feedback yet, so every comment is especially helpful.
If you'd like to help test it, you can try it here: https://crochlinguo.base44.app/
Thank you so much for your time and support! I really appreciate everyone who's helping make this tool more useful for the crochet community. 🧶❤️
Hello!
I’ve always found it difficult to switch between US, UK and French crochet terms when following patterns, and I often lost a lot of time trying to figure out abbreviations.
So I created a small app to help translate crochet abbreviations and terms more easily.
It’s still in beta, and I was wondering if other crocheters might find it useful too. I’d really love some honest feedback and to know what could be improved.
If anyone would like to test it, I’d be happy to share the link in the comments.
Thank you 🧶
