How can I scale down a pattern? Tapestry Crochet/ alpha pattern
so I have an alpha pattern with 108x116 squares, but I just can’t seem to figure out how to size it down properly. Does anyone have a good method?

Hey everyone, I found this picture on Pinterest, and the attached website doesn't have a pattern for this kind of bag. Can anyone help me find it or help me figure out how to make this??
Hey hey! I'm very specific about my patterns and the wool I use. I pretty much only buy patterns from 2 authors right now; AmiToyPattern & Moonlightcrochet89. They both use type 4 yarn and are very high quality and intricate. I've done pretty much all of their patterns now and I really would like to branch out, but Etsy is overrun with AI garbage and me trying to search through Ravelry is not bringing up the types of patterns I want, even searching through with the wool I like (Yarnart Jeans & Scheepjes Catona). I've attached their Etsy stores and some images of their patterns. Would love some recommendations!
I know that this is probably just two large granny squares but would anyone know what its called or a link to a pattern? I cant figure iut what the front would look like
Hi everyone!
Glad to have joined this sub as I start my crochet journey more seriously.
I saw this vintage BJ set circulating online but the price is understandably sky high and I’d like to take a crack at crocheting it. My difficulty is with finding certain patterns online and identifying stitches I should use for it. More specifically if some could give me some pointers on:
- are the main body stitches (pic 2) double or treble crochet?
- does anyone have any stitch names or tutorial recs for the mesh-like weave at the sleeves of the sweater?
- what the heck should I be googling as I learn to make the zig zag, witchy bottom of the dress (seriously is there a name for it)?
Thank you all very much, hopefully I’ll be able to Frankenstein this successfully!
Hi, I'm going away for 2 months to Europe, and I need to be working on a project in my downtime, or I get angsty. What are some projects that are good for summer and don't require a lot of yarn?
Im not sure im understanding what to do here and i have already tried to do it twice and then decided to frog the whole project due to frustration.. help...
I was thinking about doing a moss stitch blanket with it. Have you used this yarn? If so what blank pattern did you use? How did it turn out? Thank you for your ideas, photos and comments!
Hello everyone! I saw this viral reel on insta a few days ago n wld love to know if and where I cld find this quirky adorable pattern! Open to any suggestions :3
I'm mostly interested in clothing or shawls and maybe blankets or home decor type patterns, but I'd also love to see any other patterns as well.
I started making a mustard-colored moss stitch baby blanket from an old dandelion project. I ran out of yarn before finishing it. When I went to get more, I found it discontinued. I got a similar cream yarn to finish it, but it looks like a c*gg. I’m scraping the two-tone blanket, but unraveling the mustard yarn messes it up. Does anyone have any suggestions for the mustard square?
so im flat crocheting a button up top using this lace pattern. i’ve only attached the sleeves so detaching is no biggie. the part i’m confused about is the collar/neck.
i’ve yet to seam the shoulder seam however i’m contemplating on redoing the back panel entirely and making it 5 flower motifs across (instead of 4 motifs) so it makes space for my neck. i’m just concerned it’ll be extremely baggy on the side.
alternatively i could extend the back panel by a couple of rows using a basic mesh stitch.
OR just leave it alone, sew the shoulder halfway-ish to make a neck opening
i just needed to consult with someone (ANYone) before i waste time frogging/redoing it. i’ve never make a button up before so any tip/pointers would be greatly appreciated!! 🫶🏼
Can anyone tell me where to find this Cath Kidston pattern? I've reverse Google searched it and am not finding anything / the links are broken. I've also tried Pinterest and there are plenty of images of the blanket, but no links to the actual pattern that I'm able to find.
I'm a beginner and would love to make this specific blanket! Thank you.
I’m considering diving into one of these blankets, but I need to find the perfect one/color-combo, especially since it’s a long project! One that just makes you way, “That’s the one”! (Like finding the right guy! LOL)
TIA!
I've been fascinated with number sequences and went down the rabbit hole of the Fibonacci Numbers. I tried to apply them on a crochet project and ended up with these spiral seashells. What other number sequences do you know of that I could try to interpret through crochet?
hi everyone!! i’ve been working on a blanket for a little while now and realized that as long as i have minimal sewing to do, i actually love making blankets!! i’ve avoided them for some time because the idea of making many granny squares and then sewing them together makes me lose motivation.
i want to know what your favorite non-granny square blanket patterns are!! vintage or more current, absolutely no ai.
i want to be able to work it up continuously or change colors throughout, so im excited to see what everyone has in mind!! thank you!!!
(mods pls feel free to remove if against rules (: )
help me find this pattern. i saw this on pinterest but the link to the pattern won’t open.

This pattern makes a fabric that has a ‘front side’ with raised stitches and a back ‘side’. The pattern goes well for me until it’s time to start the second row. When I start row 2, the stitches put the ‘back’ side on the ‘front’ side of the piece. I absolutely cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong.
Has anyone else used this video and if so, did you struggle with starting row 2?
Hi Friends,
Every amigurumi bee pattern I find online is very cartoonish. I want to make a more realistic one like this. Unfortunately this image is AI, and I'm not skilled enough to free-hand this. Does anyone know of a similar pattern or have any ideas?
