What does this mean? Tomato coaster maybe in non-US crochet terms.

I’m trying to make this coaster. I’ve figured out the base tomato red part but I’m struggling with reading the pattern for the green part. I believe it might be in Chinese crochet terms but I’m only familiar with US terms.

Baby blanket yarn recommendations - not 100% acrylic!

My SIL is due with twins in November and I want to make her a couple baby blankets. I’m looking for recommendations for yarn to use. From what I see online 100% acrylic seems to be popular but I’m trying to stay away from that. Here’s what I’m looking for:
- cotton blend (maybe wool or other blend idk, open to suggestions)
- can be machine washed
- worsted weight
- available easily in the US (Michaels or online that ships to the US pls :))
Pluses:
- soft
- affordable (I need 1400 yards total, not looking to spend more than like $200 max)

Thank you in advance!

Potty training older dog

We are fostering an 8 year old mini poodle that was a breeder surrender. I don’t think he was ever really allowed to be a dog and was definitely never potty trained. The first couple weeks he was recovering from neuter and dental work so we didn’t really go very hard on potty training but we are in full swing potty training now. He’s doing really well so far, except for at night. I put a belly band on him and most nights he pees. I don’t think it’s an incontinence thing though bc there have been enough nights where he didn’t pee in his belly band. I thought it was anxiety related too at first but he’s doing pretty well sleeping in his kennel now so idk. I am wondering if the belly band is making it worse? Should I try a couple nights without one? I just hate cleaning up pee 🥲. Any suggestions? We take him out to potty ~once an hour and always right before bed. We always give him a treat when he goes outside.

First time foster struggling

Without going into too much detail, we picked up our first foster a couple days ago and I’m feeling a little defeated. We were told he “just wanted to be held and loved on” and he is so timid and shut down. We were also told he was potty trained and I don’t think that’s 100% true; he’s already had 3 accidents. He was a breeder surrender and is not in good shape. On top of that, he was neutered recently when the rescue took him in but his stitches were coming apart so they had to put staples in and so he’s kind of on kennel rest rn (we’ve been letting him out a lot and letting him roam the house/yard). I was not told any of that until I went to pick him up. He’s not sleeping through the night (he’ll sleep maybe ~5 hours) which is difficult bc we both work. I’m at a loss of what to do. It hasn’t been that long, but I am considering telling them he’s too high maintenance for us rn. I feel terrible though because this is our first time and it’s only been a couple days but it’s been a rough couple days at that. He’ll barely let me pick him up, is terrified of my husband and is so scared to even cross the door to outside/inside, we have to leave it open and either coax or heard him through or wait until he goes of his own accord. He has dental on Thursday (it’s Sunday) so I’m going to try to make it until then but idk. My mom will have to come let him out on Tuesday (along with our other dog). But I’m scared he’s too timid for even more new people. Idk what to do. If you read this far thank you. Any advice is welcome.

Edit to add: he’s 8 years old and a small breed

Edit 2: my mom came over to meet him and he loves her! I think things are starting to turn. I really appreciate everyone’s advice and encouragement!
