Braver, Stronger, Smarter & Loved

I recently completed this one in (somehow) 3 weeks. Border and all it took me around 85 hours. Full sized bed size. I had made this exact blanket for a friends granddaughter (but with her favorite colors “pink, purple and sparkles”) and a bit smaller a couple months ago. Another friend saw that one and approached me about making one for her adult daughter who was struggling with several things in her life, but loves Winnie the Pooh. i asked what colors, and she didn’t know and left it up to me. I chose a camouflage variegated yarn for the contrast to embrace the “hundred acre woods” idea and I kind of love how the reverse side came out - it looks almost like an old English tweed. Amd apparently her daughter loves it because she’s using it as her comforter on her bed! 😊

This is mosaic crochet and the pattern is by Nerd Princess designs. Her mosaic patterns are fabulous!

Tried my hand at Mosaic Crochet

I am almost a beginner to crochet and wanted to challenge myself with a mosaic pattern to make an iPad pouch. It was a bit nerve-wracking watching the color transitions unfold, but seeing the geometric shapes stack up at the end was so satisfying. How does it look?

First time doing Mosaic. Why does my wrong side look better than my right side?

First time doing mosaic crochet and decided to do negative stitch from the get go as I like the way it looks. For some reason though the front loops seem to stay stretched out when on the right side

Halloween preparations have started :D

Patterns from the Mosaic overlay app
These ones are super beginner friendly and fun to do 😄
And I only need five more to finish the project I have started 😵

Pattern Testers Wanted – Overlay Mosaic Crochet Blanket

I’m looking for 3 experienced overlay mosaic crocheters to test a new blanket pattern before I release it for sale.
This is a large two-color mosaic crochet blanket, so I’m especially looking for testers who are comfortable reading mosaic charts/written instructions and who can give detailed feedback if anything is confusing or incorrect.
I’d love feedback on:
chart and row accuracy
clarity of the written directions
any errors or awkward sections
whether the finished design translates well into crochet
Testers should be willing to keep notes as they work and send clear photos of their progress and finished piece. You’re welcome to choose your own yarn colors.
Pattern: Lunar Moth
Approximate size: 300 stitches × 300 rows
Technique: Overlay mosaic crochet
Colors: 2
Deadline: December 1st

The final pattern will be provided free to selected testers, and I’d be happy to credit/tag testers when the finished pattern is released if they’d like.
If you’re interested, comment below or send me a message with a photo of something you’ve crocheted—mosaic experience is especially helpful. 🧶❤️

I need help/opinion

I started this mosaic blanket a few years back but got stuck cause I wasn’t sure about how to make Smaug (the dragon). I’ve recovered the project and I’m decided to finish, but the problem prevails. These last few days I’ve been using stitch fiddle to try and make it better.

Would you say the chart I’ve made is good enough?
I’ve also thought about using surface crochet for the lines in the dragon, but I’ve never used that technique before…
Any other ideas or suggestions?

Thank you in advanced!!

Finally finished!

My second attempt at mosaic crochet!

I have been trying to challenge myself with new patterns.
Had a color mishap but I’m calling it a happy accident. Went with an envelope border which is awesome to hide loose ends. I hope you like it 💙💛🧶⌛️

Just finished first mandala crochet

Just finished this Mandala crochet. My first time ever doing this style and I apparently picked a difficult one. Next round I’ll make sure to plan my colors more and do the full blanket pattern but these socks aren’t going to crochet themselves

Finding Patterns

Anyone else having trouble finding mosaic crochet patterns that aren’t blankets? I’m looking for wall hangings/ poster sized or smaller projects to hang and display like most tapestry crochet patterns. I’ve found maybe 2-3 on etsy but everything else i’ve seen on multiple sights are blankets :( can anyone share any links?

First mosaic crochet done ✓

I try my hand at mosaic crochet since I have a bigger project in my head 🫣

Well I'm happy to say it went perfectly! Pattern was easy to follow, it took me less than 10 hours I think? And I also learnt to make a foundation chain, which is way easier for this I reckon.

Pattern from Get yet hook on : deers in the woods 🦌

I used 8/4 cotton from Hobbii and a 2.75mm hook!

How do you hold a mosaic blanket while working?

I am 70 rows in to my mosaic blanket. At this point it measures around 5 feet long and 2 feet tall. I am struggling to hold it while working. Any tips?
