His biceps are ridiculous when you lift up his loose skin, this is my left leg after he repeatedly wrapped his ‘arms’ around it in his iron grip last week 🤣🤣

He causes so much damage without meaning to, I dread to think what he could do if he wasn’t friendly and was actually trying to cause damage 🤣

All bulldog breeds and mixes are welcome here on r/bulldog so myself and u/Wombat_7379 have complied some fact sheets about a selection of the ‘main’ bulldog breeds 🥰

Since I’m British and she was born and raised in America before moving to Uruguay, there’s a bit of both British English and American English in there, we didn’t change it because we felt it showed nicely that the slides were a team effort 🤣

Hi everyone! 💕

As some of you already know, the r/englishbulldog MOD team have taken on r/bulldog this week. The sub was quite dead and absolutely full of bots, with a MOD queue about three miles long. Now that mess has been sorted out we’d love to see you guys join us over on our new sister sub!

Whilst this sub is strictly for purebred English bulldogs and rescued merles, our sister sub will be for all bulldog breeds (including, but not limited to, the American bulldog, the French bulldog, the English bulldog, the olde English bulldogge and the Dorset old tyme bulldog) and all bulldog mixes & colours/patterns.

A breed post with a picture and brief overview of the main bulldog breeds has been drafted and will be posted over there in the near future for anyone who is unfamiliar with any of the breeds or would like to learn a little about their history, origins, colours, heights and weights 😊

We hope to revive and expand our new sister sub into a friendly, helpful community like we have here, and, of course, this sub will remain how it’s been for the past year with the current MOD team; we have no intentions of abandoning it for the sister sub.

Hi everyone!

A lot of you will know me and Rock from r/englishbulldog but for those who don’t I wanted to introduce ourselves.

I’m Emily, and this is my lad Rocky. He’s a 3.5yo purebred English bulldog and he’s my best friend in the whole wide world 💕 we live in England and Rocky is originally from London, though we moved up north last year.

Rock is a very active young man who enjoys dragging me out to walk for miles, hiking, getting muddy in streams, eating as much food as he can fit in his mouth, seeing his grandparents, playing with other dogs (especially other bull breeds) and conversing with his pet snake Voldemort (IE excitedly squealing and yipping every time Voldie moves 🤣).

He’s my first bulldog, but my family have owned and shown bulldogs and Staffordshire bull terriers for generations, so I’ve grown up in a bull breed enthusiast family.

I’ve included a photo of my parents KC show winning bulldog Benson, kennel name Fitzgerald’s Walkers Revenge. He was invited to be shown at Crufts in 1995, but I ruined those plans by being born earlier than expected 😬

I really hope we can get this sub back up and running and turn it into a lovely community like we have over at r/englishbulldog 💕

He’s really perfected the guilt trip face 😭

I let him stand against it on his hind legs yesterday to assure myself he couldn’t reach the top, but I stand corrected, and I now no longer have a snake skin on there.

This is why I call him Nobhead 🤣

Voldemort was originally supposed to be my new pet but that lasted all of five minutes, Rocky adores him and is completely obsessed with him so I’ve accepted the fact that he’s actually Rocky’s new pet 🤣

He alerted me to the fact that Voldie had shed in the night by whining and tapping on the glass, and one of the first things he did when he woke up this morning was go over to the viv to check up on his pet 🤣

Voldemort used to belong to my friends who have two old Tyme bulldogs and a cane corso so he’s used to dogs, but Rocky has never met a snake before so we’re doing careful introductions.

He’s absolutely fascinated by his new brother! He started wagging his tail when we brought the vivarium inside and gave it a thorough inspection before meeting Voldie. He’s given him a sniff and cheerfully gurgled some gremlin noises at him while wagging his tail, all good so far! 💕

He got lots of attention and fusses, and enjoyed splooting in the middle of the walkway so he was an obstruction to everyone around us 🙄🤣

He was very well behaved, didn’t crush her, and was so happy and friendly the whole time 🥰

I was a tad worried he might get overexcited and bulldoze her, but he seemed to sense that she wasn’t capable of withstanding his enthusiasm 🤣
