My life as Myrna’s personal chef 👩🍳🥰
I have been feeding Myrna (with permission from her vet) a 50/50 mix of high quality kibble and a homemade mix. Part of why I keep feeding her the kibble is a) she loves it and b) her vet said that a homemade diet is very difficult to get them all the nutrients they need. Here in Uruguay it is very difficult to find supplements and powders, so a compromise was to feed the kibble to ensure she was getting sufficient nutrients that the homemade mix would be lacking.
This is her standard mix, which she absolutely loves. I measure everything by weight and mix based on percentages discussed with her vet.
• Lean ground beef
• Organs: Beef liver, lamb hearts, lamb kidneys
• Tilapia
• Whole eggs (scrambled since she loves them)
• Quinoa
• Spinach & chard mix
• Mixed vegetables - red peppers, green beans, broccoli, carrots, corn (not great but it’s a small % of the over all mix). When I’m feeling ambitious I pick out all the corn from the mix.
• Turmeric
• Coconut oil
• Pulverized egg shells (for added calcium)
I’m curious how others assure their pups get a balanced diet when feeding homemade or raw?
I’d also love any suggestions of some other items to try! I have tried brown rice and sweet potatoes but Myrna’s wrinkles tend to act up when she eats them, so I avoid those.

Myrna is a shapeshifter

Hotel time with momma!
Picking up dad at the airport early so we came down to the big city and stayed in a hotel. The receptionist remembered Myrna and she received the royal treatment. 🥰
Despite how much fun she seemed to have, Myrna still gave me the side eye, hogged the whole bed, and then demanded I also share my dinner with her 🤣
She’s such a spoiled girl!
