Album: Even In Arcadia Song: Even In Arcadia

I have seen similar projects in other subs (shoutout r/AlterBridge), and thought this would be an excellent community for something similar. I plan on posting a new song every weekday as we go sequentially from One through Even In Arcadia.

I’ll track the averages and include the previous day’s final score in each new post. Album averages will be revealed once each album is complete.

To absolutely no one’s surprise, Take Me Back To Eden dominates leaving us with all three medals, after having long running contenders — The Offering and Atlantic.

We’ll see if Even In Arcadia can dethrone any of the top three, I think there will be some contenders and some a dark horse or two.

Even In Arcadia is my all time favorite album, so let’s get started. I’m excited.

I swear the lyrics hit differently when you’re dating and dismissive avoidant (attachment style). It’s like a hot poker into the heart sometimes when you’re vibing to a song you know by heart and suddenly the words mean something else entirely. Would anyone else like to commiserate?

It's ritual. It's confession. It's the space between sleep and waking, where the shadow self finally speaks.

It's anger without bravado.

Sadness without shame.

It doesn't fit neatly into a genre because it isn't trying to impress anyone.

So I found sleep token by accident really. If they weren’t playing next to the venue I was working at I may of never known of them.

I like many others deal with so much when it comes to mental health torment and depression. So many artists have wrote such beautiful relatable songs about depression,sh and s***cide. For me though the pain vessel writes and sings about so beautifully is why I idolise this band.

I feel some sense of worth and that I’m not alone and vessel can just nail it spot on.

Does anyone get what I mean? Is that why sleep token are as successful because we have such demons a lot of us and vessel is speaking for us?
