Hello! I’m Tom (29M), and I’ve been living in Shrewsbury for about two years now. I’m properly settled here with my fiancée, our house, and our dog. The main thing I’m missing right now is a solid circle of comfortable, long-term friends, the kind of low-maintenance setup where you can just spontaneously hang out without every single get-together needing a month of planning and a spreadsheet.
A bit about me:
History & Heritage: I have a Master’s in Museum Studies and work for a heritage organisation. Unsurprisingly, historic places and museums are my absolute jam.
Reading: I’m currently trying to get back into a solid reading routine. I'm racing through graphic novels and comics at the moment, just finished the second Game of Thrones book, and I am a massive Terry Pratchett fan.
Coffee & Cake: Going out to coffee shops is genuinely my favourite pastime. I've spent the last two years scouting, so I can confidently say I know the best spots in town.
Board Games & Wargames: My top tier includes Scythe and Wingspan, but I also love lighter, tactical games like Harmonies or Splendor.
The Household: Beside the dog, I have a fantastic and adventurous fiancée who is also happily settling in and making friends here.
