Rifle aim for Jets?
So I’m retraining 16 years of mouse roll helicopter flying.
I’ve decided the best option for me is to actually leave yaw on A/D but add Q/E to roll, because I’m more familiar with this (planet side 2 dogfighting).
But what about jets? Do you guys use rifle aim on jets too? I’d still keep the A/D yaw and or roll on Q/E (incidentally these are married to buttons on my mmo style mouse too, so I could roll while yawing without finger yoga… I haven’t fully built this in yet as a roll option on my heli though it’s there, and the way it’s laid out it still makes sense)
But is Jet Mouse yaw even remotely worth training? Even in my early days with the helicopter I can feel how it is better with rifle aim mouse controls for aiming at my targets, and it also more smoothly transitions with free look smart/tow missile aim… but jet yaw is… much less significant…
So do any great jet pilots use rifle aim controls on mouse? (Clearly you still need keybind yaw, but I find that necessary in helo still anyways). Does it improve accuracy?
