FMC is stripper/camgirl, loves it, and does NOT give it up for the MMC in the end. I want the internal struggle!

Looking for recs!
I'm hoping to find stories with more realistic tension between FMC and MMC that have to do with the FMC's job depending on her acting like she's into other people (preferably stripper, camgirl, etc., but actress will work in a pinch).

I want to see:

  1. The very human struggle of trying to square away the faked feelings required in some lines of work, with the very real feelings between two adults in a budding relationship.
  2. Two characters wrestling with knowing they love each other, but also trying to fend off the insecurity that comes with society's judgement of her profession.
  3. She doesn't quit the job she enjoys for a man!!

Is this even possible? (Probably not, but I WANT TO BELIEVE!)

I'm open to reading M/M or F/F relationships, but a hetero dynamic with long-held cultural pressures, etc. would be ideal.

I've already read "Caught Up" by Navessa Allen (>!MMC has no internal conflict with FMC's job -- not what I'm looking for!<) and "Priest" by Sierra Simone (>!does not scratch #3!<).

Thank you so much in advance!

My first foray into crepe paper florals :D

I'm so PSYCHED with how these turned out! Will have to work on making the foxglove smaller (it's closer to 1:6 scale but I was going for 1:12). Very happy with the roses -- hoping to find a good leaf punch to make them easier in the future.

I know I could make them more easily with polymer clay, but I'm challenging myself to use paper more. I love the effects it offers.

Anyway, I'm excited to share with people who understand the obsession (just joined this group -- yay!). <3
