Quiting in three weeks!!

Sorry this is pretty long.

At the end of this week I'm putting my two weeks in. Honestly this job was nice at the beginning and I have grown to genuinely love the people I've worked with except jannet (fake name) our TL. Everyone hates her. I've endured through it because the pay is great and soon I'll finally be able to get my first car. I feel so proud of myself that I've earned this much. But im quitting because of a ton of things.

This job is so hard on your feet since your walking and were not allowed to even sit while were being paid. That doesn't include break's thankfully. We're not allowed to have water on us and we have to hide it literally. Were pushed to our absolute limits back here and it's so tiring and it's actually scary to see my coworkers pushed almost to the point of heatstroke while dispensing. Thankfully they can't put me on dispense since I told my coach I'd quit on the spot after a few too many incidents. Jannet is the main villain here. She treats everyone like dogs. I'm not kidding. I can't have a conversation with someone in front of her because she'd get in my face and say "picky picky!" Or "happy pickwalking!" Is so rude and she yells at us when she catches us standing still for just a minute to talk to others.

But I've realized I don't want to work for a big corporate place like wally world. And plus I want a place that'll actually let me have time off I requested because I'm going to miss my friends graduations. There's so much to do and I want to get my first part time job since they put me as full time for my first job. I want time for my friends and thankfully I live with my mom and she won't even dare let me move out until I'm happy and have enough to secure an apartment on my own. Plus I love her cooking. I only took this job to get a car and get out of my depression and it worked! And honestly I feel free. I'm happy and I'm so excited to leave Walmart fully. I'm not working there again. I'll get a temporary part time job in town so I can slowly learn how to drive and have enough to pay for gas and insurance. I'm not a big money spender so that's perfect.

And once I'm in a good place I'll finally get a job up in our city where I can work a dream job! Plus maybe get my ged along the way but the job I want doesn't require one. Luv y'all and hope y'all rest well!!

How's ogp for everyone else? I joined three months ago and I'm already switching departments, they have to since they know I'll quit without notice if they don't. Our store doesn't have an actual ogp room and it was built onto the side of the building so it's inherently very small. We get new hires constantly of course and we've been losing people because of our new team lead. My experience was horrible after our new team lead became team lead. She rushed my dispense training. I was never taught alcohol and I was never allowed to dispense it anyways. I was never taught driver order nor gmd. Plus our gmd room is the old subway we used to have. So that sucks. Our new hires are either new adults/teens or older women. Which means they're beat around a ton. We're not allowed to have water with us. We can't have candy with us. We can't have music so we're basically zombies out on the floor. I mainly feel bad for all the new people. They didn't know of the environment and I've tried to make it clear this isn't he place they should be. Because your also not allowed to sit down. And I've had a break pushed back an hour, a lunch I almost didn't have until I threatened to go to her to report it and genuinely I've already reported our new team lead for the dispense bullcrap she pulled on me because I ran over there crying in the midst of a panic attack. I'm so thankful for everyone that truly helps out everyone in the team over there and truthfully Ive only survived because of them. I have no idea how most of them have shed two years over there.

Is yalls experience better? Do y'all have actual ogp rooms built for ogp? Do y'all have an actual gmd room too? I've been to a bigger Walmart and it freaked me out how much better it was. And plus the opg over there wasn't rushed in the middle of the day when we have rushes. They literally had two people picking them and that was all. They even had new carts and totes...which we need because our carts are breaking. Plus what is with the push and pull banter? I've only seen it here? Is because people have hit someone with a cart? Someone hit the store manager at our store and we were just told to go slower and to be more mindful of what's infront of the cart. Dosn't help that most of us are to short to tell what's in front of it if someone is crouching down.
