Ideas for using 371 2.75in yo-yos?
I bought a box of yo-yos at an estate sale this weekend, and I separated them by pattern and counted them today. I have 371 of them. Does anyone have a good project idea for how I could use them?

My husband and I have lived in our house for two years, and we’ve had a groundhog who lives under our back porch since we moved in. She has a pretty good sized hole down there, but she has not busted into our crawl space since we had it encapsulated when we moved in. Last summer, the groundhog had babies, and we had a pest control company live trap and remove them when they started eating my garden. They were only able to catch the babies and not the mom.
This year, it did not seem like mom had babies, but she did continue to roam around our backyard. This morning, my husband was mowing the lawn and noticed these blue puff/pellet things in the hole and right outside of it. We are the only people who live at our house, and neither one of us put them there.
I tried reverse image searching the pellets, but nothing came up. Our next door neighbor has also had issues with this groundhog eating her garden, and we did talk about how he was a nuisance about a week and a half ago.
My main concern is that it’s some kind of rodent poison that someone has put there. If it is, would it be possible that the groundhog moved it there from somewhere else? I would hate to think that our neighbors would do that without telling us. We have a 16-week-old puppy, and now I’m nervous that we have some kind of unidentified rat poison out and about that he could get into.
So, does anyone know what this is and how it could have gotten there?
My husband and I have a 14 week old black lab who we took in for his third puppy check up today. At his 11 week appointment, I noticed that his right front paw was turned outwards sometimes. I brought it up to our vet, he did a really thorough recheck of the joint and thought everything felt fine.
Today, though, he noticed crepitus in the joint, and we are going in for x-rays next week. We are looking at elbow dysplasia. Our vet said not to worry until there’s something to worry about, but I’m still feeling disappointed that this is something we’re going through, especially since he’s so young.
Has anyone else dealt with this from such a young age? I know that elbow dysplasia isn’t reversible, but *if* this is elbow dysplasia, are we in a better position because we caught it early? Has anyone had a lab puppy with crepitus that *didn’t* turn out to be dysplasia?
My family and I are on vacation, and we went to a new hotel today. We loaded everything from our car onto a vinyl-lined luggage cart and headed to our room. I put my purse on and soft-sided cooler on the table.
The first thing I do when we get to a hotel is check the bed, and picture 1 was the mattress in the first room that they put us in. I complained, and they put us in a room across the hallway. Pictures 2-4 are of the seams in the mattress in that room.
It looked too much like bedbugs for me to be comfortable, so we left. Nothing other than our purses and cooler came off the cart. We did walk in the rooms, and my mom sat in a vinyl chair in the first room.
We packed all the luggage up in the car and are on the way to a new hotel. Do we need to be worried about bringing anything with us, particularly from sitting in the chair and our luggage being on the cart? Do we need to worry about bugs getting in the car?
My husband and I bought our house two years ago, and shortly after closing, we started to notice the drywall bubbling next to the shower. Tonight I decided I was finally going to get around to fixing it. I, unfortunately, did not get a picture before making the cut, but after removing the old stuff, I noticed gaps between the back wall of the tile and the drywall.
I think it’s also important to mention that this is a fuck ass bathroom. Like, when we moved in they had a standing tub just loose in the shower well which caused the subfloor to rot. I am not confident that there is waterproofing behind the tiles, but I hope there is.
Is there anything I need to do before I start throwing joint compound back up there? I don’t want to fix it then have the same problem in two weeks.
The automod won’t let me say the name, but we saw a giant cloud of black smoke at the place where planes go. There were a few emergency vehicles, and it didn’t look like it was coming from the tarmac. Anyone know what’s going on?
I’m a Nashville native, and have yet to find a place to get a pedicure that I absolutely love that has a good environment and service. My friend and I want to get pedicures tomorrow, but I’m unsure where to go. I’ve tried the following places:
Snappy Nails in Donelson-I like getting my manicure here, but the pedicures aren’t anything to write home about. It always feels rushed.
The Pedicure Palace in Donelson-We went here last summer because people raved about it, but I was unimpressed.
Noire Nail Bar in Mount Juliet-I really like the actual service here, but the lights are *so bright*, I find it hard to relax. The actual environment is off-putting.
SQ Nail Bar in Hermitage-I love the actual pedicure here. The environment is good, and I think it’s a good bang for your buck; however, the polish they use chips unlike any pedicure I’ve ever had. I’ve gone with multiple people, and they’ve said the same thing.
Does anyone have a place they love that has a good actual pedicure, calming environment, with polish that lasts? We’d love somewhere in Hermitage, Donelson, Madison, or even Hendersonville!
My husband and I brought our eight week old black lab, Chili, home on Thursday. I took Thursday and Friday off work last week to stay home with him, and I have to go back tomorrow. We left him alone for the longest stretch yet today to go to Costco while he napped, and I cried actual tears.
We have a pet sitter coming twice a day, so he’ll only be alone for naps in the crate, but I’m sick over leaving him. Do I know he will be okay? Yes! Will I probably cry on the way to work tomorrow? Also, yes!
I feel like he’s already so much bigger than he was when we brought him home, and I don’t want to miss a second of this stage. I was expecting to have really bad puppy blues, but he’s been quite literally the perfect puppy. He’s still a puppy and a total land shark before nap time, but for an eight week old, we couldn’t ask for a better behaved baby.
My husband thinks I’m totally ridiculous because I only have to work for a week and a half before I get to stay home all summer with him. He is objectively right, but how am I supposed to leave that face?
