Will TGC defenders still defend TGC if they changed the lighting in forest in the upcoming update?

I am really curious to know if others will finally recognize that TGC is off running their own game they enjoy for themselves. Not a company making an accessible game for all.

I just seen a video that the next update they will be changing the lighting in forest to be slightly brighter. And just genuinely, GENUINELY, what is this fixing? What benefits from this? These are some questions I keep asking when they keep adding new things that are just unnecessary. They can clearly change the lighting as they please. But yet still cannot even bother making light adjustment be a basic ass setting 😒 when this update comes people will flip their shit over this.

I just wanted to hop on and ask the community, when was the last time you had a survey in game? And what gaming platform do you play on?

I want to gather information to see if TGC is being biased or prioritizing certain gaming platforms when it comes to them recieving input through their surveys

Additional info; I started out this game on phone and got survey pop ups roughly towards the end or after each season ended. I switched over to the switch and I honestly dont ever remember recieving any surveys afterwards. The reason I prompt this question up now is because I recently been seeing people post screenshots of the current survey asking about aivarys new update. I may be asking this question a little early since not everyone has gotten the survey yet. But I just noticed I don't really recieve any surveys lately. I asked a friend who also plays on switch and they said they actually have never recieved any surveys before. A friend who plays on PC said they hadn't received a survey since radiance.

Props to all the wingless players because ya'll literally on a whole other level with this game. And I can't imagine what it was like without these shared space challenges

Just fairly recently a friend talked me into trying to go wingless. Now the way we became wingless is probably the most frustrating route since most wingless players start a fresh game without collecting wl. I already started out with wl. Managed to lose all of them at wasteland. There is no way to avoid the void but managed to use some shared spaces my friends set up.

My thoughts on being wingless is its a lot of fun! I was hesitant to trying it out at first given, I had to change my home base to aivary plus there is no way of avoiding the void. But as I'm already on day 2 of being wingless, I do have to say I see what a lot of wingless players see in being wingless. Its a bit more fun to add a bit of challenges to how you do dailies or candle runs. Thank goodness for the bouncy pads the shared spaces. I think one of the things I appreciate about being wingless is being able to utilize shared spaces more. Im not sure how committed I'll be to being wingless long term. But I love having the option a lot. To wingless players whats your favorite part about being wingless?

Some of ya'll don't know how to regulate yourselves and its becoming sad to watch it become so normalized acrossed the community

Been seeing a lot of frustrated posting about players getting tired of newer players especially when they are coming to these communities asking for help. I'm starting to think some of ya'll are just growing resentment and becoming more impatient. Ya'll are not inclined to help if you do not want too. I don't understand how shaming helps any of the situation by calling newer players dumb or name calling. Ya'll are just becoming rude over annoyances or things that are inconvenient to you. And maybe this is a reality check to step back for a moment to process your own emotions rather than lashing out. Again you do not have to help if you do not want too. Its starting to feel very passive aggressive these days. Looking things up is not as easy as you guys say things are. Sometimes I don't even get the answers I need when going to YouTube or Google (these days on duck duck go to avoid AI usage). Please just stay kind or just keep scrolling if you aren't going to add anything useful towards posts that are asking for help.

I just wanted to make a reminder post for those who may struggle to find all event tickets, maybe something to keep in mind in more future events!

The new shared space challenges will help guide you to find all event tickets, and you can get some wax by finishing these challenges. I hope this helps others because it has also helped me quite a bit!

I love people watching in this game. This kid was doing some magic. Then stared right into my soul 🤣

I love being able to see everyone at geyser and just watch players be silly

I know some of you may have some positive perspectives over this new aivary, and I'm happy to hear it works for some. But I just want to share a different perspective and my thoughts on it

TGC is allergic to making their game accessible for all players. This is why half of us spawn to old home. They have always seemed to be vocal about trying to have players migrate to aviary. And this update is making me think that at some point they will just force aviary to be the only home to spawn to. Yes its still an option to stay at the old home which I am not moving and dont plan on moving. The reasons why is because this game can become socially taxing at times. I'm not one of those players that avoid lighting people. I can't stand treating others like an npc. Which is why I enjoy old home. I don't feel pressured or demanded to be social. I can light people in peace. Other players still are social in old home but a lot of players are respectful of each other's spaces. The other benefits to the old home is its simplicity. When I open up my game I'm not flooded with so many players trying to light me, or immediately running into friends. The lighting in old home is the main reason why most players have decided to stay. As aivarys lighting can be a bit much. I know for me the lighting can be stimulating as it changes very often and can be very blinding at times. The problem is tgc is trying so hard to make the player base happy but they don't seem to want to try to listen to the root of the problem. Why half of the player base still will not pick aviary. This new aivary has not fixed anything other than rearranging where things are at. Maybe making it more convenient in some sorts for players who have aivary set as home. But this aviary is not very welcoming too those who set old home as their home. I never disliked aivary btw. It was just very stimulating. I loved the option of being able to go through the aviary portal. Like it was my secondary home. But yeah I wished tgc just understood that we just want more accessibility, thats literally it. And asking for that is at least the bare minimum.

Just wanted to share my appreciation to the community🖤

Ya'll seriously make me burst into laughter seeing all these memes relating to the valley portal missing too Ya'll posting memes on the TS hints. As much as this game can be frustrating at times, this community can be funny as hell making humor out of these silly bugs and tgc fuck ups. Ya'll make the game worth to play.

I really want to just open a healthier space for others to properly handle loss and rejection. I know about half of the community has joined sky to seek out community, connections, and friends. I initially joined for those reasons. And well it can be hard to realize, even in game you may also go through similar experiences as in real life. Connections comes with hardships and sometimes loss. I have noticed not everyone really knows how to handle these losses. So instead, I want to see this community come together and drop a heartwarming message they wished they could say. I will start.

Sometimes I catch myself remembering the good old times with you. Its really hard to just act like you never existed in a good chunk of my journey on sky. But one thing I missed the most, is hearing you giggle and say "I have a magic trick to show you" ✨️
