I need to prep for a radiation safety test for IEMA (Illinois State). It is my first time taking it and diving into RT. Any suggestions or study material would be appreciated.

I have an extent background of NDT of 11 years total. My experience ranges from Oil and Gas (mainly) to aerospace and now mining. I have acquired certs in UT, UTT, PT, MT, PAUT, VT, EMI, and now working towards my CWI. I am picking up on my engineering degree this fall which I plan to using my degree in focusing better solutions to any problem caused by handling, in-use or simply maintenance work in NDE.

Long story short, I have kept in contact with friends Ive made over the years in Oil and Gas and they tell me that with my background I should take the next step in becoming an auditor and start a company for services. I know what equipment we need but thats about it. Im looking for recommendations on how to come about starting an NDT company for Drilling and workover services. We would be doing drill pipe and BHA inspections on the drilling side. For production, we would be doing tube and sucker rod EMI scanning. If auditing is needed, I can assist overseeing big projects making sure the company hired is up to spec on personnel and equipment calibrations and making sure proper steps are being made and done well.
