How am I doing?

Hey everyone,

Im currently a nurse wanting to apply to vet school. Im just struggling to get enough hours. I plan on applying in 2027. I have a bachelor's in biology (3.94 GPA-I still have to take some prerequisitecourses) and I completed an accelerated bachelor's of Nursing program. I was in school for my Doctor of Nursing Practice but I withdrew after my first semester when I realized this wasn't the career I wanted. I do have some research experience but not a lot -I created a poster presentation on how the attractiveness of pollinators to humans affects conservation efforts (honeybee vs. Bald faced hornet) and had to complete a research project as part of my nurse residency program for work. I have been an RN for about 1.5 years as ICU then psych. I shadowed at a general vet clinic for 105 hours, where then I was hired as a vet assistant and currently have 145 hours. This vet clinic also has a cat rescue that I volunteer for (28 hours). I volunteer at a wildlife center (55 hours) and I also volunteer at free clinic for humans that dont have health insurance (42 hours). All of these will have more hours by the time I apply in January. Im also a single mom to a daughter under 1 year old who I have most of the time. Im exhausted trying to get all these experiences and working almost full time. I just wanted to know if its feasible, or if Im on the right track? Because I dont have a lot of experience. So I guess what Im trying to ask is- Is what Im doing enough?
