I liked her since the beginning of 11th grade

We started talking in 12th .... first everything was related to studies and stuff but soon we talked about everything , the rants , family and all ( from july to November) almost daily

In december i decided to confess and she said -

"Ache Frnds Toh Rhenge Hi....Bss Abhi Muje Nhi Aana In Sab Mai Padhai Pr Impact Aaega Isliye"

(We will continue to be good friends...i dont want to indulge in a relationship now as it will affect my studies)

I was genuinely gutted as it was obvious that she didn't like me back and so i tried to distance myself from her but she continued to text and ask some doubts related to studies and i wasnt able to ignore her

We went on to talk daily even during the boards and entrance exam

At this point she shares almost everything (about her periods , family ke kalesh , her relationships with her other friends ,etc.)

But i feel that i am only hurting myself by maintaining this friendship as i dont think i have moved on from her ( I dont think she considers me a romantic option)

I often think of cutting her off gradually but i dont think i will have guts to face her as we have to stay in the same class for atleast another year (we are preparing for same further courses)

I genuinely need some advice as i am just stuck here
