I'm looking to discover more vocalists who specialise in house/electronic music.

Who are some vocalists you think are particularly good, especially emerging or independent artists rather than the really established names?

Particularly interested in vocalists working across house, melodic house, deep house, Afro house, progressive house, garage, etc.

I'm curious about this from the vocalist's perspective.

If you've ever recorded vocals that ended up being used on a house/EDM/electronic track, particularly through Splice, a sample pack, or another royalty-free vocal platform. what happened to your identity as the vocalist?

If the track became successful, were you credited by name? Did people know you were the vocalist? Did you receive royalties or any meaningful recognition beyond the original licensing agreement?

And if you've remained anonymous, how do you feel about that?

Would you actually want your name/profile to be associated with the tracks you've contributed vocals to, if the licensing arrangement allowed it?

I'm interested in whether vocalists feel there's a gap between being paid for a vocal and being recognised for their contribution to the music.
