When I first listened to yspsfagsi I had purple straight at the bottom of my ranking..even one month after the album released it was near the bottom. I will say it’s mostly bc i just skipped it and never returned to it. I hated the beginning of the song bc of the school clothes line 😭 But then I kept seeing so much hype from Reddit and Twitter about it being underrated and I was like let me give this song another shot…. now it’s like top 5 on the album for me 😭 I wouldn’t of done it without u purple truthers

My pros

- great song Selections: their discography is pretty much 10/10 zero notes. And honestly the music is the most important part when it comes to a kpop groups so I’m glad there’s that.

- great concept: Their concept is definitely for the girlies belift knows their target audience. The desire unleashed photo shoot….. 🤭 even the sin bliss’s are all 10/10! Styling etc!!

- great choreography- outside, knife etc 10/10 u can tell the members really enjoy the choreography and music they have which they should bc it’s 10/10z

Cons

Overworked- self explanatory

Very little room for solo activities- if u compare enha to other 4th gen groups ive, stray kids even txt. They have very limited solo activities outside the group. I think of wonyoung from Ive and k from &team and their involvement in the devil wears prada movie press run. Even hyunjin and felix from stray kids going to things like fashion shows outside the group and having individual brand deals and activities. Enhypen is so overworked they literally have no time to slot anything in, individually . Also why don’t they have individual instagrams? Lesserafim and &team debuted after them and they have it…. I heard ppl saying enha wouldn’t want one…. Okay😂Niki has literally said on live that he would want his own ig. Maybe the company is waiting for them to renew. Also they can disable comments like bts have (except jungkook) if trolls is a worry.

limited creative freedom- this one is more controversial and could be argued but I think since they’re so overworked they don’t really have time to be involved in writing their music and it’s clearly something Jay, Jake and heeseung wanted more. I heard Jungwon say they have meetings with the company constantly when it comes to the creative direction of the group… I wonder what happens in those meetings is all I’ll say. I’m telling u know if Belift gave heeseung time to write and produce his solo music within the group he would still be in enha.

Lack of promo- sometimes it feels like Belift isn’t interested in making them bigger than they are. And maybe they don’t need to be but did u guys see their promotion calendar for this comeback…. Pretty much zero promo in Korea and belift is just spamming fan calls and fan meetings. No variety shows or radio shows. They do have festival appearances but they’re a bit rare. We all know why💸😂

This album😭 I can’t put into words my absolute love for it. I won’t lie, I was a purple and begged hater but after giving them more of chance they’re at least top 8 on the album. I can play the album back to front easily without skipping anything (there’s only one skip, which is honeybee😀)

Honestly I was worried… my unraveled tour tickets were £242 (321 dollars) no VIP which was super expensive so the fact the albums lives up to the hype and more is a big relief.

Just some thoughts hehe

I recently got into kpop in March just after heeseung left so I have only really seen enhypen as 6. I feel like I’m the only person who sees both sides on the whole ot7 and ot6 thing. But I am honestly surprised a lot of people on this Reddit forum and people on Twitter are surprised engenes are ot7 and can’t move on from the whole heeseung thing and more blame needs to be placed on belift. ( yes i know people are blaming them already. )

The whole kpop industry is built on parasocial relationships, a key reason idols don’t date publicly. People who are mostly young girls have spent hours and hours consuming content of enhypen as 7 members.

Heeseung was the centre of enhypen and the most biased. Belift really went about this entire thing wrong. Announcing it on a random Tuesday, trying to erase his existence etc. They’re now suffering from the consequences of removing their (arguably but I believe) most popular member so abruptly and imo, and I haven’t seen anyone say this!:

I really think belift saw how popular and talented heeseung was and felt he would be really good for them financially as a solo artist, I genuinely believe they thought heeseung could become almost like a Michael Jackson or Beyoncé , becoming more popular than the original groups they were in as solo artists ( destiny’s child/ the Jackson’s five) , I genuinely don’t think they put a lot of thought about this decision and ik they regret allowing heeseung to leave.

And before people say they think this was all heeseung choice. I agree with you to some extent, but I think if belift said he can’t go solo he would of stayed in enhypen. Do you really think if sunoo or Niki wanted to go solo belift would of allowed it? Genuinely think hard about this. Belift thought heeseung would thrive as a solo artist they wouldn’t just allow him to leave enhypen from the kindness of their hearts if they didn’t think it would benefit them!

It has been 4 months and still people can’t move on. Based on my research on other kpop groups who have lost members, apparently its insane the amount of time people have spent dwelling on heeseungs departure. And again, heeseung was arguably the main vocalist/ most biased / centre. It’s hard for me to admit, but I genuinely believe lf any other member left who wasn’t heeseung, people would have moved on by now.

Overall I believe belift thought heeseung would become a star solo artist and would of become a massive money maker for them, they didn’t give him a solo career out of kindness and respect, they know they overwork tf outta enhypen and wouldn’t want to pause any activities to give heeseung time to do his solo stuff. They gave him an ultimatum which they would not of given anyone else in that group, again bc they know of heeseung popularity and now they have completely divided the fan base which will ultimately continue to cause issues in the fandom and I believe potentially make people loose interest in enhypen unfortunately ( I hope I am wrong)

Last thing- I really feel sorry for the 6 members the most in all of this, ot7 fan chant is disrespectful these young boys have had to change their entire choreography etc. in jays bday live…. U could tell how fucking pissed he is about the whole situation, Jungwon too, I think ( this is just speculation) they may have doubts in terms of enhypens future without heeseung and the popularity of the group and again, I will always blame belift. Hope ppl don’t lose their minds about this post lol.
