Midjourney Announces "Midjourney Medical": A 60-Second Full-Body Scanner That Uses Underwater Ultrasound Arrays to Bring MRI-Like Imaging to Spas by 2027

Midjourney has officially moved beyond generative art and into hardware, announcing Midjourney Medical. While the headline is the "spa" concept, the actual engineering behind their scanner is fascinating and sounds like something straight out of sci-fi.

How the "Midjourney Scanner" actually works:

Instead of relying on the slow, claustrophobic experience of a traditional MRI, their system uses an underwater ultrasonic array:

  • The Descent: You step into a shallow pool of water and are slowly lowered (about 5cm per second) by a platform into an underwater ring.
  • The Array: The ring is lined with half a million tiny sensors, each about the size of a grain of sand. These act as both high-frequency speakers and microphones.
  • Active Echolocation: As you descend, the sensors flood your body with ultrasonic sound waves from every possible angle—essentially a sophisticated form of biomechanical echolocation.
  • Data Throughput: This is the most impressive part: the system generates terabytes of data per second. The company claims that if you converted the raw scan data into HD video, you would need to watch 500 hours of footage for every single second of the scan.
  • AI Reconstruction: Because the sound waves change shape depending on the density and stiffness of what they hit (water vs. skin vs. fat vs. bone), the system uses massive computational clusters to "reconstruct" these wave distortions into a high-resolution, 3D internal map.

The goal is to get a full-body scan in under 60 seconds. They are calling this the "Midjourney Spa" experience, where the scanning happens casually as a side-effect of a relaxing soak, with the first site planned for San Francisco in 2027.

It’s an massive engineering undertaking—combining fluid dynamics, specialized sensor hardware, and intense real-time data processing.

voidlab5/star_scanner
Executabil: https://github.com/voidlab5/star_scanner/raw/main/star_scanner.zip

Aveti in readme toate detaliile de instalare/folosire.
LE: am adaugat un executabil care cauta/instaleaza python si ruleaza scriptul, dar totusi trebuie editata manual lista de magazine cu notepad.
Cautati sectiunea
WATCHED_STORES = [
"emag",
"altex",
...
]
si adaugati acolo
