Currently using an iphone 13 that I charge 3 times a day just to keep alive and occasionally it overheats. Looking to upgrade to a 17 but not sure if I should get the ProMax version.

My biggest concern is that I want to get a phone that will last as long as possible, taking into account degradation over time. I like the larger screen as well on the ProMax (as I use my phone for work emails and reviewing .pdf files) but I don't really have a need at this time for high quality photo or video.

Will the ProMax have a longer lifespan overall justifying the additional cost? The data I've looked at, suggests the ProMax would likely last an additional 1 - 1.5 years before showing signs of slowing compared with a 17 base model but I am looking for real world advice on those who have purchased either or have purchased an upgraded model in the past.
