Iphone 17 base model or 17 pro??

Hi guys! I am seriously contemplating on whether to trade in my Iphone 13 for a 17 Base model or pro. Besides the fact that the battery life on this phone has completely degraded (76%), there are other minor issues such as my increase volume button completely malfunctioning, my silent button not working, rapid overheating, and lagging. I have to charge my phone at least 2-3 times a day; the battery is the main issue for me. Hence, I really want to trade in my phone for a newer model.

I would really appreciate advice on whether to get the Iphone 17 base model or the Iphone 17 Pro. Like I said, battery life is the main thing I am really looking forward to. I would really like for this phone to last 3-5 years, so I will make it my life’s mission to preserve the battery life😂. Nevertheless, any advice on whether to get the base model or pro would be so appreciated 🫶

16pm or 17p after the launch of 18

Hello! I’m planning to buy a used iPhone after the iPhone 18 is released. My budget is around $800 for a used device, and I’m upgrading from an iPhone 12.
Which model do you think would be the best value for the money?

Is the Iphone 17 pro worth buying?

Hi, Im wondering if i should upgrade from my 12 pro to a 17 pro or wait for the 18 to release. Im not sure if this would be a worthy upgrade or if the 18 is even worth the extra wait. Thanks.

Switching to iphone 17

I'm currently using S24 ultra, bought it last year .so far so good , except the battery the SOT is around 5-6 hours.also the concern is using phone with one hand .i would prefer compact phone over big ones .

So will iphone 17 be a good choice, considering battery and form factor

Is it bad to sell my new 15?

and buy a refurbished 15pro or 14pro? 15 256gb brand new on discount. 6 months of use and battery health is 98%. It costs more now than the discount price and I will loose only 10$ ish for selling it, if I manage to sell for the price I will try. And then buy a refurbished for less money than the 15 costs new.
But is it worth it? just went a bit disappointed about the zoom and I loved the light blue colour but I realize it feels a bit teenager..
Or just keep it and sell it next year or maybe in 2 years and then go for 16pro?

Heavily Discounted IPhone 17 - worth?

Im currently using a 13 Pro with 86% battery capacity and was planning on upgrading to a new one later this year.
Now i saw that i can get a new base 17 for just 667€, without trading my old one. Since i could sell my 13 Pro online for at least 260, if not 304 if it gets the better rating on the vendor site, i would pay a maximum of 400€ for a brand new 17.

It would be stupid not to it right? All the rumours are that the new IPhones get a price increase and that there is no normal 18 until next spring.

Should I get an iPad Air or a MacBook Air for university?

I’m gonna start college next month and I’m unsure if I should get an iPad Air or a MacBook Air (the most recent models). I’m gonna study economics.

I wanted to go for an iPad because I feel like it’s more versatile and easier to manage; I also wanted to use it to draw on apps such as Procreate or Clip Studio so I’d also need an Apple Pencil. For the keyboard, I wasn’t thinking of buying Apple’s so I’d save a little on that.
People around me are saying a MacBook has a bigger screen, runs faster and better (especially for AI) and I can pair it with a monitor at home.

I feel like I don’t need one because iPad also got a pretty good chip, runs almost as fast a MacBook and also has Apple Intelligence. Also laptops are heavier and I don’t want to carry all that weight around with me all day.

I don’t feel like I’m making a bad choice by going for an iPad but people keep pressuring me so I’d like to hear other takes on this.

Edit: I forgot to mention I also own a Windows laptop; it’s kinda old (6 years) but still works pretty well for basic stuff. I intend to use it at home and not bring it to campus with me.

the iPhone 15 Pro Max or the 16 Pro?

i have iPhone SE 2020 with 83% battery capacity That’s terrible, because I can’t even go two hours without charging. My birthday is coming up next month, and my budget allows for either an iPhone 15 Pro Max or an iPhone 16 Pro—they’re the same price used at Easy Cash. I have to choose between a 512GB 15 Pro Max with 90% battery health and a 128GB 16 Pro with 90% battery health. I just want a battery that can finally last a full day; I do a lot of scrolling and spend most of my time replying to messages.

iPhone 16 or iPhone 15Pro in 2026?

I have an iPhone 13. The battery sucks and the glass is shattered. It’s extremely slow and the camera doesn’t work anymore. I got a good offer to upgrade with my phone provider to a 16 or a 15Pro. I wanted a 16Pro because the 17 is just still too expensive for me to pay monthly, but it is unavailable to upgrade to.

The camera on the 15Pro is the only reason I’m interested but the 16 being a year newer, what is the better choice?

iPhone 13 Pro Max owner looking to upgrade – what would you choose?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently using an iPhone 13 Pro Max that I own outright (no contract or finance). It’s still a great phone, but the battery health is down to 78% and I’ve got the itch for a new phone.

Apple will give me £235 trade-in credit, so I’m thinking of upgrading through the Apple Store rather than just replacing the battery.

I don’t upgrade very often, so if I’m going to treat myself I’d like to make the right choice.

For those of you who have upgraded from a 13 Pro Max, what did you go for and was it worth it?
Would you recommend:
● The latest Pro Max?
● The standard model?
● Something else?
● Or would you just replace the battery and keep the 13 Pro Max?

Interested to hear what you’d do if you were in my position. Thanks!

Iphone 17 base or pro max?

Buying my first Iphone and can't decide between the Iphone 17 base model and the Iphone 17 pro max.

I live in Mauritius and earn minimum wage. I can afford either one, but the pro max would take a big chunk of my savings, and I don't want to spend so much on a phone and then regret it. At the same time, I'm worried I'll buy the base model and wish I'd gone for the Pro Max.

For those who have used both or made a similar choice, is the pro max really worth the extra money, or should I save the difference and get the base iphone 17?

Tell me the iPhone I bought is worth the money!

Hello guys, I posted a few days ago regarding an Iphone 17. But yesterday, I actually bought an iPhone 16 pro at 79 k inr (827 usd) with added free 'gifts' like Apple adapter, cable, Airpods Pro??(idk if they are real or not, tell me how can I check the authenticity of these), phone cover, lens cover and screen guard.

The 16 pro is a 256 gb varient, the shop owner claimed it as a demo phone but the serial no. starts with M (maybe I misunderstood the demo part because he was also showing other phones at the time too). I checked there are no unknown parts. But the main issue here is battery health and cycles, the battery health is at 92% with 603 cycles. Should I be worried, is it 79 k worth? Also there is no original box or invoice and the original warranty expired as it was activated on February 2025. But the seller was talking about it having some other external 1yr warranty idk? He said if there will be any issue, he will see it to it and to come to him.

So, tell me is this phone worth it at this price? PLEASE TELL ME IT'S WORTH IT! So, that I can have my peace of mind. I plan to use this phone for at least 5 years?( am I being delusional here?) because my father got it for me (which I'm very much guilty about) and I'm still studying, I can see myself earning atleast 5 yrs later.

Should I have gone for brand new Iphone 17?

Also the shop owner set it for me...is that a problem? Should I factory reset it and set it myself?

And also tell me how to completely check my phone to see if there are no issues!

Should I get the iPhone 17 or 17e?

Looking to upgrade from my 2nd gen SE and I’m not sure which option is better. The main selling point of the 17 over the 17e seems to be the camera, but that isn’t super important to me. I know there’s also a difference in the screen quality, but I don’t know how noticeable it actually is. My biggest concern is battery life since I oftentimes have to use my phone a lot for high intensity tasks.

iPhone 13 (86% BH, ₹26-27k) vs iPhone 14 (86% BH, ₹30k) – Which is the better buy for 5-6 years?

Hi everyone,

I'm switching from Android to iPhone and need some advice.

Here are my options:

iPhone 13 (128GB)

86% Battery Health

Purchased around 1 year 3 months ago

Original parts, Face ID working

Price: ₹26-27k

iPhone 14 (128GB)

86% Battery Health

Original parts, Face ID working

Price: ₹30k

My usage:

No gaming

Mostly social media

Content creation (photos/videos for Instagram & YouTube)

Windows laptop user (I transfer files only occasionally)

Planning to keep the phone for 5-6 years, with an official battery replacement when needed.

My questions:

  1. Is the iPhone 14 worth paying ₹3-4k extra over the iPhone 13?

  2. Is the camera/video difference noticeable in real life?

  3. If you were in my position, which one would you buy and why?

Thanks!
