Recently single after a long-term relationship. Looking to meet good people and see where things go—no rush. Dog dad x3. Usually working, in the gym, fixing something, or finding a reason to be outside.

“I consider one of my few virtues—I don't have a lot of them—but one of them would be a deep sense of curiosity. It's inconceivable why anyone would want to not experience as many colors in the spectrum as possible with our limited time on Earth” - Anthony Bourdain

Terrified to Approach

So I have always been scared to approach women in public. I don’t really understand how that is supposed to work. What I am supposed to say. I have always found it strange that if you approach a stranger in public, it most likely due to physical attraction since you don’t know them at all. Yet I am always told that you aren’t supposed to mention that? But I am 38 years old (male)and have never once cold approached a female. Maybe this seems so crazy and daunting because I was just diagnosed with autism and ADHD. It is making a lot of issues from my past make sense. But I’m kinda tired of dating apps. I get lots of matches/attention but it feels like everyone on there is either out for a pump n dump or desperate for a relationship.

So how does this cold approaching women actually work, and is being autistic the reason it feels like an insane concept or is it just that awkward of a thing to do?
