Doctor Who Bids Revealed: Jed Mercurio Leads Pitch To Regenerate BBC Series, As STV Studios Plans To Transport TARDIS To Scotland
Deadline's got the scoop on some of the interested parties who have submitted initial expressions of interest in the Doctor Who tender.
- Hat Trick Mercurio, with Jed Mercurio attached as executive producer
- World Productions
- STV Studios
- At least two BBC Studios entities
- Another Scottish studio, with a well-known Scottish actor interested in taking the lead role.
Mercurio's a big name to have attached to any bid - the guy who made Line of Duty and Bodyguard can write his own ticket, so having him put his weight behind an offer is surely going to be a big, big deal.
