I made a free Metroidbrainia inspired by Obra Dinn and Type Help for the recent Thinky Game Jam. If you enjoyed those or the 90s CGI aesthetic you might like this.

Posted a bit ago about my 90s CGI inspired game jam game, it's out (for free) now! You might enjoy it if you liked Type Help or The Return of the Obra Dinn.

I'll be releasing a video soon about how I pulled it off, to encourage more people to try the style out.

It was done in URP (Unity 6.4) but it'd also be doable in HDRP and I'd like to try a more era-accurate ray traced solution out in the future.

Anyone have any tips to push the pre-rendered CGI look further?

I'm doing a game jam and I thought it'd be cool to go for a 90s CG aesthetic since it fits the theme of the idea I have. This is in URP.

It's turning out fairly well, I'm wondering if anyone here has any general advice to help me push it further, or if there's anything evident that I'm missing from the screenshot.

As the title states, I'm wondering how one would differentiate between Riou's illustrations and Alphonse de Neuville's illustrations, as they both did various for the book.

Are there any major stylistic indicators, or a source which definitively says who did which illlustration? Online, things are very muddled, with Riou and de Neuville both being credited for the same pieces at times.
