Prediabetes + Ozempic — when did it start working for you?
I started Ozempic on June 27 at 205 lbs. I did 4 weeks at 0.25 mg and just completed 4 weeks at 0.5 mg. I'm currently 204 lbs, so only about 1 lb down.
I'm also on 500 mg of metformin daily (half morning/half night), but haven't noticed much improvement in my A1C.
Ozempic has occasionally reduced my interest in food and made me feel fuller, but it's inconsistent. My hunger, cravings and eating patterns often still feel the same.
I'm doing this mainly to manage my prediabetes and hopefully prevent progression to type 2 diabetes, with weight loss also hopefully helping my chronic lower-back problems. My doctor wants me to move up to 1 mg next.
Did anyone else see very little change at 0.25/0.5 mg but have better results at 1 mg? When did you notice a difference in appetite, weight or A1C? Does anyone else feel the way I do right now?
I know Reddit isn't a substitute for medical advice, and I'll be discussing this with my family doctor. I'm just genuinely curious about other people's experiences and whether anyone had a similar start. TIA.
