Hey AGT fam,
My friend ( we aren't super close so I don't feel comfortable asking him ) made it to AGT and got voted back until the mentor's house. Then he received the call that he isn't going to the live shows and he will be cut out from the audition process as well. Was wondering what could happen ? He is a comedian. Thank you for the potential replies

So Simon did an interview with TV Insider and talked about season 21. To start will he talked about the new round called “Callbacks”. Simon said each judge will be assigned to watch 6 acts and each judge will watch them individually at their homes and each judge will only be allowed to put 2 of the 6 acts through. So basically this round is like what they used to do on the X Factor, was called “Judges Homes”. Also something that was interesting, Simon is on his 10th year as a judge on AGT. He was asked if he will ever leave AGT and here’s what he said, “Realistically I’ve got to hand over the reins sooner rather than later. That’s going to happen, it’s just when.” Sounds like Simon might be leaving soon? What do you all think?

So I was in my college’s marching band and we got asked to come on to americas got talent and they supposedly put us in an episode somewhere. It would be season 15 if they did. I can’t find anywhere to stream it. Peacock only has season 20.

After not having some kind of Judge Cuts round since Season 16, I’m excited that we’ll have a Judges Callback round this season! Judge Cuts was one of my favorite rounds from Seasons 10-15, so I was sad to see it be scrapped. While Judges Callback might be a one episode thing, it’s better than not having a second round which I did not approve of during Seasons 16-20.

FORMAT

The competition begins with a massive field of 144 acts divided into 12 groups of 12, where a panel of six judges each holds two Golden Buzzers. In this initial stage, one act per group advances via the Golden Buzzer while four others move on through public voting; meanwhile, three acts enter an Instant Save where one survives and the remaining two are sent to a dedicated Wildcard show. This Wildcard round features two groups of 12 consisting of previous Instant Save losers, with three acts advancing by Golden Buzzer and three by votes. The Quarter Finals then bring together the non-Golden Buzzer winners and Wildcard acts into six groups of 12, where the top three from each group advance by fan vote and one additional act is saved through an Instant Save round.

Moving into the Semi-Finals, the 24 acts from the Quarter Finals join the 12 original Golden Buzzer recipients to form three groups of 12. From each group, three acts advance by votes and one more via the Instant Save, resulting in four acts moving forward per group. Just before the Grand Finals, a final Wildcard battle takes place between three Instant Save losers, six judges' picks, and the highest-voted eliminated act to secure the last two spots, one decided by voting and one by the judges. Finally, the 14 finalists are narrowed down to the top six through public voting, leading into a second round of voting to crown the ultimate champion.
