I borrowed my mom’s heirloom ring for an event this weekend and somehow lost it. I feel absolutely horrible because it’s been in our family for years and obviously the sentimental value is the worst part. She does have the ring insured under her jewelry policy but I’m worried because I’m the one who was wearing it when it disappeared. Does insurance still cover something if the person who lost it isn’t the policyholder? Please tell me I didn’t completely screw this up!
