Victory!

Well it took about a week but today I got my first ranked win!! I have been playing English. I rushed my first age up into abbey and made a King, immediately entering age 2 I made 2nd TC and stables. Made horsemen started raiding him a bit trying to kill outside villagers. Sending troops back individually to the abbey if they got low hp. I rushed into white tower and as this was being constructed I built a monastery and trading post, made 3 monks in queue, and placed the spawn point to relics, as each monk spawned I changed to a different relic so they would go collect it on spawn. Secured 3 spammed some traders. Made trebuchets from the white tower and siege production, once I had 5 and a pretty sizeable army of some spearmen, knights, horsemen, trebuchets and King I went on attack. I placed trebuchets at max range of his landmarks with the foot army on hold position and just won the game. Seemed so easy. I feel like a kid on Christmas!

New player, coming from league

Reposting because apparently r/ageofempires 4 says this sub is better.

Alright, I’m sick of the team aspect of league of legends. 9/10 games are just lost because you get the idiot team. So I am looking for a competitive game that is solely based on my skill alone. The options are AoE or Street Fighter 6 I think. I also downloaded StarCraft 2 but haven’t got a chance to play it because I’m spending all my damn time facing A.I in 1v1 skirmishes on AoE4. I’m loving this game.

Obviously the games are different but I’m hoping there will be a little bit of skill, even if it’s just comfortability on a mouse and keyboard that transfers to AoE. My question is, what is the fundamental skills I should be practicing? I will probably play English because best beginner friendly civ, or so I’ve read/heard. I’ve looked up some build order guides as well as looking up timings. Example being, beginning your first age up around 2:45.

So yeah any tips, tricks and fundamentals I should know?

RP confused about gear.

This is what I have, the shield and axe are just fillers when i'm running around the world as to not waste imbues and what not. I am 277, and have 10kk gold. Can be swayed to buy some TC though. Like 250 that would be a pretty big cash bump. I just don't know if I should use this gear until like 300, and then just try and buy BiS items. Or is there some direct upgrades now that would make a killer difference. Living Vine Bow has like 3 hours of imbues on, other than that I'm not really attached to anything.

I dont know how to play my character

Hey guys, I havent played my RP in like 2 years. He is 276 atm. With the rebalance, im trying every vocation out too see what I would like to main. I dont really know the things like multi-action setup for RP, Healing spells, best aura, like basically the new mechanics the rebalance and multi-action has brought in. Anyone that can help me with rotations and how RP plays now

Battleye Problems

I will be playing for 20-30 minutes and I’ll randomly get disconnected and this message pops up. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled everything. Scary when it happens mid hunt, weirdly only has got me killed once. It seems to happen on the last monster of the pull when it has like 20% hp. This time I was walking to LB worms and right as I was about to enter it just pooped out. Anyone else have this issue and find a fix?

Edit: there’s no macro or anything being used, was completely legit. I did the cmd battle eye shutdown command, then delete the battle eye tibia file in program files/common/battleye and it seems to have fixed. I haven’t been on extensively today but when I was on had no problems 🤷‍♂️

Melee Weapons

Im just curious what people would think of removing the distinct melee weapon skills (sword, axe, club), and just rebranding it to “melee” or “combat” or whatever title. The obviously benefits to this is being able to switch between the 3 styles depending on hunt/preference. I could see prices evening out as well, maybe there would be some outliers for absolutely BiS end game hunting.

Anyways, thoughts?
