Hi all, I am on a 482 visa but recently the company folded due to severe loss of revenue. I have been planning to run my own agency for the past 2 years but I know you cannot sponsor yourself to stay and work in Aus (unlike some other countries) For those entrepreneurs out there, need some advise on setting up a visa pathway that will allow me to focus on my business here as I have pipeline of clients already.
I moved to Melbourne after being headhunted for a role. When I got here the role turned sour, toxic culture and I knew I couldn't thrive there so I left after 7 months. I got a role soon after but now after just 8 weeks the agency lost critical client business and I was let go. I just cant believe this. I'VE been in the Media industry for 19 years and never seen it this bad. Talent cuts is always the last option, you try your best to retain but now it seems the first option to save your own skin. I really dont know what happens to my visa and what my options are. At a lost frankly.
