For those affected by financial aid disbursements
I received my money yesterday with no notification and here’s everybody that I wrote in email:
My advisor, my advisors manager (which I got from requesting that she is cc her manager on an email that outlines everything we talked about on the phone), the ombudsman, the dean of my department (psychology), and the office of student affairs.
Even though the money was sent yesterday, they were still saying I had to wait indefinitely because they don’t know what’s going on.
So somebody somewhere got the ball moving, i’m just not sure which department because they all started replying once I started CCing everybody almost every day.
In email, I emphasize how this affects me as a student, and how the students are the reason that national University even exists. I expressed my disappointment that there doesn’t seem to be effective communication or accountability. I also told them that I would not be moving forward with my doctorate with them because this was absolutely not promising.
Again, I don’t know exactly who got the ball moving or exactly what I said that did it, but I finally have my funds 😭
Also wrote my congressman (never replied), complained on fafsa website and haven’t heard back.
