Patch Placement for Summer?

Where are we placing our patches to avoid irritation? I’m in Texas and it’s hot AF and I’m 99% the skin irritation around my patch is from sweat.

Should I place them higher up on my abdomen? Any tips/tricks to avoid skin irritation from heat/sweat? 😅

As always, thank you for the help!!

Appreciation For Y’all

Just want to say how grateful I am to this group! I had a follow up appointment with my gynecologist today, the first since my POI diagnosis in May (I’m 33 FWIW). I took what I have learned in this group and felt empowered talking to my doctor. I feel very lucky she diagnosed me so quickly and listened to me. I have a real plan now and for that I’m relieved.

I know we are in a really shitty boat together, but I feel grateful to be here with y’all. Thanks for the education and resources. Today was the first day I’ve really felt okay with all this❤️

Groggy before patch change?

Hi ladies! Question for the group: do you feel groggy the day before you need to change your patch?

I’m on the lowest patch dose (I know, I know - working on this) and the day before I am supposed to change my patch, I’m so groggy. I assume this is because the dosage isn’t high enough, but I wanted to see if this was a common experience and if higher estrogen helped.

I want to say that finding this sub has been a lifesaver. Thank you to every single woman who has shared her experience and advice. I purchased the second skin film to put over my patch, and omg wow.

I got my official diagnosis on Monday, but anticipated this diagnosis based on my bloodwork (MyChart giving back test results before your doctor can review them is a whole other issue). I'm 33 and married, and this has been hard. I've cried a lot and have let myself grieve.

I started the estrogen patch at .025 and progestrone at 100mg. Based on things I've read in this sub, it seems like I might need to go higher on the patch? My doctor said she doesn't really do blood tests with HRT, but I think I'm going to request it.

Being here is bittersweet, but I'm so glad there's a community for this. I'm open to any advice, story, or whatever anyone feels like sharing. I'm doing literally anything I can to prevent myself from spiraling.
