Would you recommend going to a Weezer concert as a 90s Weezer fan?
Blue and Pinkerton are two of the greatest albums of all time. The raw emotion Rivers put into his songs, giving us an insight of how his mind works, what he feels, how he sees himself, and even his flaws he himself is unaware of. Songs like Say It Ain't So and The World Has Turned And Left Me Here have been on my Spotify wrapped consistently since 2016. I could talk about these two albums for hours
To a significantly lesser degree, I also like the White album, just not as much
That said.
The rest of their discography is pretty "meh" to me. Outside of the albums I mentioned, I know like 10 songs them. I genuinely can't name a single song they've made after White album
So anyways, you get where I'm coming from.
Weezer is coming to my city in September. With all the info I gave you, would you recommend going to their concert? I'd feel satisfied if I know >50% of the songs they play. Just please don't spoil the setlist, I want to be surprised by it 😄
Lastly, if you guys know of hidden gems in the "weezer by the numbers" era, I'd be more than interested in listening to them
TL;DR: I love 90s Weezer, I like the White album, and ~10 more songs. Is it worth going to their concert in September?
Thank you
