Native support for all the functionalities I care about for the Airpods is here at last (probably been since recent mOS 10 update)

Since it also uses magic capsule to show info and connection to the Airpods as specific BT headset, not some generic type with the headset icon and 0 info on Airpods.

This is probably Honor's strong sides, compatibility, I got this though AFTER Apple iPhone pairing and updating, that's how I learned of this and Im enjoying my Airpods even more now with automatic ear detection!

Just take them out and put them back in, no more manual tappings for a 300USD ear pieces and magnetic chargable case initially, 1 yr after release lf the 3rd gen was when I bought them, they are still up towards 250USD today and Im not surprised, reliability+simplicity with advanced tech and engineering is what Apple is producing.

Getting good vibes from this, at last, Honor 200P+400P would be my last Honor phones may need to be reclaimed if their software game gets up!

This all before Android 17 and mOS11 also, I totally am satisfied with staying on those for both phones, since I notice slight lags already upon bootups on control center when dragging it down the 1st-2nd times, even on the 400P which was fine until recent features update.

Android 18+ with more agentic AI will only make the chip throttle too much imo IF they dont somehow optimize the coming OS and apps so its 5x-10x more power efficient.

(Which it is for 8 gen 5+, while gen 4 elite is clear thermal baby syndromes)

Please do share you opinions, no need to have any apple products to get this gap between the different techs, closing in on each other, not only visually but the systems.

As title says, what do you think is pros and cons of running light vs dark mode.

i run a wallpaper with native resolution in #000000 for minimal burn in and screen power consumption.

Gboard wallpaper, same.

​

Even magic capsule goes pure black with my color settings wherever I can change to non powered pixels technically.

​

I know about sub pixels and pixels swapping, still Im a extreme power user.

​

App drawer was a grace instead of android home screens for me 🙏

Especially with ability to also sort all apps into folders.

Was little glitchy with 200P, ghost folders and duplicate app icons with only 1 working.

​

Seems to have been fixed now that 400P also got the most recent mOS10 update.

Noticed how choppy my zooming in photo mode is now after update...

While the 200P is still smooth.

What system resources do you guys have on the 400P with most recent mOS10 update?

.179 with voice cloning detection that got downloaded.

While I notice the on device model for translations also since there is call translation natively on this model.

200P got it after not recent update but one before the most recent.

Glad and it works just as 400P but no system resources installed, does it mean the function on 200P is completely cloud based?

While 400P can/does it on device with partial cloud resources?

Try out version to trigger it after reading someone recent post questioning when update is coming and popped up for him after posting.

Use game manager and turn on bypass charging and set the limit you want.

Latest version of it on APKMirror have the function and it works fully. Im amazed how it passes battery completely when the set limit is achieved.

Honor probably wont fix this for us with devices not natively showing all battery options in settings menu.

Found in Apps>Three dots corner>unrestricted data access.

By default Google play services and some other system apps have it enabled.

​

After 24h of disabling, havent noticed any negative changes yet.

​

Get app update push notices, social media notices etc.

I manually sync my google account, so auto syncs are all disabled.

​

Any other harm I should think of by turning off this?

Maybe will get slightly more battery time.

Ive tried previous night to add Sleep cycle app as a game for game manager.

​

Since my C430 200P or C636 H400P do NOT have custom charging limit options.

​

Had to sideload even newer game manager APK since Honor support told me, only way to update it is through Honor AppStore, which dont even show Game manager for me.

​

They then went ahead and told me to try create a new Honor ID account for HK region if it had anything to do with regions.

Try again in AppStore....

Ive tried through game manager's "search for updates"=you have the latest version 🤦‍♂️

Can confirm that 200P at least with bypass charging option and keeping screen on while charging, set to 80% and verified, -38mAh during the whole sleep instead and no charging of battery.

​

AccuBattery shows "0maH" being used when I have bypass charging 83% battery charge and set custom max charging limit to 80%.

​

Honor... Really wants its users to find workarounds than plainly use phone for modern applications.

Feels great to be able to power the device with power adapter instead of battery even if its proprietary buffer needed.

Still amazing there seems to be hardware potentials being gatekeeped by software....

Anyone else without custom charging limits found other ways to utilize healthier charging routines?

This is what official HK support replies when I report the phone loops once like it did before successful boot.

Back in march security update and google play stuck on 1st February.

They made google withdraw the google play update instead as a "fix".

Now they are responding with "problem with Google and System".

When I told them the majority of users have experienced fixed 1 May GP update and 1 May Android security WHEN the new features update have been installed.

Like my H200P C430, 1st May on both now.

Somehow they just disregard any problems and try to put burden on other parties than themselves which is the root cause.

"Just waiting for the update to rollout since it fixed the update issues, withdrawing it isnt a solution and I hope the update will come for C636 HK/SEA devices very soon, H400P should also get bi monthly security updates which its been delayed now ever since the android 16 and mOS10 first update which was on schedule"

So, this is just a post to show how far customer support goes for aftersales inquiries and reporting.

Reported Honor Health not registering the training time correctly, 3/30min daily always somehow even when I take 10k+ steps and 400kcal burned at least....

Still not fixed....

The Honor 8 was great 2017-2018, the health app worked much better back then 🤦‍♂️😇

Just an insight in aftersales situations, if you want great hardware but sloppy customer service and software update policies, Honor is a great choice.

Am I the sole user of this batch of C636 devices, allegedly for HK market, shadely sold worldwide at the same time.

The reseller claimed no manufacturer warranty, only 6 seller warranty...

Probably the bundle device early bird or something, since it was sold as brand new to me with prior activation on Honor ID, probably for the free bundled items.

Since they refuse to provide original purchase of proof, grey import and its downsides, otherwise than pro like 6000mah, slightly degraded despite 0 cycles at delivery.

Estimated around 5800mah now, while my 200P with 380 cycles still have around 4800mah/5200mah.

Unknown storage time but first activation in October, ordering date beginning of december.

"Brand new" huh my ass, trying to cover up original seals broken with "customs tape".

Really lame dealership but luckily it sorted out by changing the "brand new" port structure and daughter board for it since it was a manufacturer defect.

2 months into use, vertical play as if the port was heavily used over 8 yrs.

Costed me 1/3rd of phone value and it does not retain any brand new integrity anymore.

IP 68&69? Byebye, drop and impact resistance with SGS rating?

Just to stab me in the back by non serious reseller + Honor as OEM , not even accepting invoice paid with original box and IMEI markings + my honor app warranty certificate + physical warranty card certificate.

Nah, I even suggested for them to expand for more market shares since it's not even well established in the EU, Germany and UK as sole providers and only within their domestic regions.

The rest have to rely on grey imported devices if not some carrier deal which there isnt if there isnt a official Honor affiliate in the country, then its Mi/Xiaomi.

Cant wait for the 2027 EU requirement of removable batteries again for easier change of batteries.

End of rant but also curious if there really is other ppl with same batch/region device and delayed on updates, going against the bi monthly security updates even.

Their marketing may be to nische now but if hardware really holds up.... Still software and software update policies need serious intervention for better success.

This one came with only Google dialer, though the AI live translation works for it and WhatsApp 👍

After update from. 126>144, no more toggles but its highly carrier/operator related, did some Troubleshooting and this carrier indeed hides the toggles while going to Vimla they surface again.

Though in all this, I have noticed many updates/added elements that wasnt there before and trying to showcase some of them.

Anyone else stumbled upon this hiding of VoLTE+VoWifi toggling? Not specifically with updates but carrier switching?

Both operators does support VoWifi calling so Hallon is failing on sending carrier feature flags and or the Honor devices have trouble with reciveing the flags from this particular carrier which uses 3 infrastructure.

Global network, not domestic little one.

Will see what customer service can do, probably IMS reset or sending specific flags for my numbers for 2 Honor phones.
