I'm getting into final girl and i want to start buying an ultimate box. Help me decide, Season 1 or Season 2? Which is more fun?

I want to learn how to play bass, is it a good idea to start with a freetless bass?
I been playing the guitar for more than 10 years, and i discovered this band called Primus (I'm sure everyone here knows them, and knows Les Claypool)
Immediately after hearing them, i wanted to learn how to play bass and specially learn those awesome Primus songs.
I really want to know what type of bass is better for this mission, i dont care how hard it will be
