Ziggy, our long-term foster from a Shar-Pei rescue. Sweet dreams, big boy.

Sharpei 💤 😴

I need to get up, but I have this cutie asleep on my leg. Oh well, looks like I’m trapped!

Enjoying the thunderstorm with our fearless sharpei.

Made it back from our walk before it started pouring rain. Ziggy is curious, doesn’t even flinch when a big boomer cracked nearby. Holly comes out to inspect. Yes, gutters are useless with the torrential rains of Florida afternoon thunderstorms.

Sharpei rule #1. I can and will nap anywhere, especially if it means you may trip over me.

Our foster pei, Ziggy. Whereever you need to be, he’s in the way, and no, he’s NOT moving. Find another route.

I picked this up today in Florida, because Google lens indicated it is likely created by “Southern folk artist Billy Ray Hussey.” I plan to give it to my sister, she lives in North Carolina, so I thought it would be nice if the artist was local to her.

When I got home, I found an exact match, which only states “Elephant Handle Red And Black Vase,” but doesn’t indicate any studio. I’m unable to find a maker’s mark. Is it just an exact copy from a mass-produced source? I’d like to give my sister accurate background information.

Side note, I didn’t even realize the handles are elephant heads until I got home, and read the description on Live Auctioneers lol. The glaze is what caught my eye. Thanks in advance.
