I found this today

As a follow up to my post yesterday about vintage jam bands, I pulled this one out yesterday. I bought it by mail order through an ad in Relix. At least I think so. Anyway, there are some pretty obscure bands on this one. Anyone have volume 1?

Vintage Jam Bands

I got into jam bands in the late 80’s early 90’s. I was/am a Dead Head and would go into the city (NYC) to see shows at the Wetlands. I saw Phish there in 1990. Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors Widespread Panic and Disco Biscuits too. The moe.show that they recorded Loaf at was epic. As was their New Years show that year. Some lesser remembered bands like Percy Hill and Ominous Seapods stand out as well. Does anyone remember any other early jam bands from that era? It seems like there’s been a resurgence of great new bands coming up.

Setlist from the Wetlands New Years shows 1996

Epic night. They played until early in the morning and they served bagels. I was in front of Chuck the whole night so I grabbed his setlists and asked the band to sign them. 30 years, damn.

I’ve had this picture for over 30 years. I found it on the floor of the Wetlands in 1995.

Does anyone know the story behind this photo? I found it in the floor of the Wetlands in NYC during their New Years show. I remember showing to Rob that night and he just laughed and shook his head. Anyway, great show. Ended in the early morning. I have a band autographed setlist from Chuck’s side too from that night.
