Hi everyone i just took this screenshot and thought it was worth sharing.
I downloaded and installed rpcs3 a while back because i was wanting to see if i could re experience my childhood favourite uncharted trilogy on the go. Turns out you can’t at least not enjoyably. So my question is there any good reason to keep rpcs3 around on the deck or should i just stick with my actual ps3 and the occasional bit of emulation on my 7800x3d main rig?
Hey everyone,
I've been struggling with my screensaver not starting automatically for weeks and have already ruled out a lot of potential causes. Hoping someone here can help.
**My setup:**
- Windows 11 (Version 10.0.26200)
- R7 7800X3D, ASUS ROG Strix B650E-I, RTX 4070 Ti Super
- Logitech mouse (Logi Options+ running)
- Programs typically running: MSI Afterburner, RTSS, Steam, NVIDIA App, Firefox
**The problem:**
My screensaver (Mystify, set to 5 minutes) doesn't start when I leave the PC for 30+ minutes. However, when I set it to 1-2 minutes it works fine. This suggests something is sending a periodic signal to Windows every few minutes that resets the screensaver timer.
**What I've already tried/ruled out:**
- `powercfg /requests` shows "None" for all categories (DISPLAY, SYSTEM, AWAYMODE, etc.) – even after waiting 6+ minutes without touching the PC
- Energy options: "Multimedia settings → When sharing media" is set to "Allow the computer to sleep"
- Steam: Disabled hardware video decoding in Steam settings (helped initially but problem returned)
- NVIDIA App: Closed – didn't help
- Logi Options+: Tried killing all processes and disabling services via PowerShell – processes restart themselves and problem persists
- Presentation mode (`presentationsettings`): Not available on desktop PCs
- No game controller connected
**What's strange:**
`powercfg /requests` shows absolutely nothing blocking sleep/screensaver, yet the screensaver still doesn't start at 5 minutes. This makes it very hard to diagnose.
Does anyone know of a tool or method to detect what's resetting the screensaver timer, even when powercfg /requests shows nothing? Or has anyone experienced something similar?
Thanks in advance!
