How much time passed between Season 1 and Season 2 in the series?

Assuming Maximus was comfortable as a knight, the Brotherhood had built a lot of diode-based nuclear reactors, and they found Area 51, I'd guess a month or a month and a half had passed.

Where will Lucy go in Season 3?

We know for sure that Cooper went to Colorado to search for his family.

It's highly likely that Maximus will join the NCR and help them fight the Legion. After all, the NCR is his home, and Maximus is a true soldier.

But what will Lucy do? Cooper left and didn't invite her this time. The NCR, the Legion, and New Vegas have nothing to do with Lucy. This isn't her war, and she's not a soldier.

But she received information from her father that the real experiment is on the surface, and he's already sent batches of chips to their true owners.

I think Lucy will leave New Vegas in search of these couriers and the people her father worked for. And I hope she finally meets her brother in Season 3. And I hope she sees Cooper soon. After all, this Enclave story is personal for Lucy and Cooper.

Unlike many people, I enjoyed Max's arc in Season 1 (except for the romance with Lucy, which was terrible). There, the character was in the right place, and his importance to the plot was clear. I liked his story of a false knight and his desire to prove himself. He made many mistakes, but he tried to correct them. In the finale, he acts very nobly when he gives Lucy the doctor's head.

When I started watching Season 2, I felt like the writers didn't know what to do with this character. Until Episode 7, his presence or absence in the plot doesn't matter at all. His story in the Brotherhood this season isn't very interesting. It seems like all he has to do is bring the diode to Ghoul.

I understand that the writers plan to make him an NCR soldier in Season 3, but I doubt that will be interesting. I think it will be a repeat of his story in the Brotherhood of Steel, only with a more reasonable policy. I doubt we'll see any character development here. He's not very smart, uneducated, no charismatic, or a leader. Maximus isn't someone who will lead soldiers or actually make decisions. Even stealing the diode was Dane's idea, not his.

While Maximus was the main character in Season 1, starting in Season 2, he's more of a supporting character. He's reminiscent of Finn from Star Wars.

We've seen flashbacks of Steph, we've seen her behavior for two seasons. She's a very cunning and wily woman. When she met Cooper, she immediately tried to get into the vault. She married Hank within 24 hours of meeting him. Immediately after her husband's death, she found a new father for her child—Chet.

I think such a pragmatic woman would have a child with a more advantageous partner. Hank, her first husband, an Old World man, leads the vault and is a member of the Enclave. Steph's second husband is an infantile vault dweller who can't help her in any way.

I know romance isn't always necessary, but I love these guys' relationship!

Max and Dane have a very tender and trusting friendship. They how close and dear they are to each other.

Max and Thaddeus are a pair of opposites. They complement each other well. And the actors have great chemistry.
