I’m curious what people think about the quality of Raffles parts compared to high-end factory reps like Clean or VSF.

You can find a complete high-end super clone from factories like Clean, VSF, etc. around 350-600$.
With Raffles, each individual part (case, bracelet, bezel, crystal, crown, etc.) can cost tens of dollars alone, and by the time you buy everything, you’re often close to the price of a complete factory replica.

The factories benefit from massive production scale, hence the price, but does that also mean a smaller supplier like Raffles can invest more into the quality or consistency of each individual part? the individual Raffles parts are actually on par with—or even better than—the parts used in factory reps? Or does the higher total cost simply come from buying everything separately?
I’m asking purely about quality, not gen accuracy.

I’d love to hear from people who have experience with both.

This is actually my first post here ever.
I’ve noticed there are occasional giveaways and that people often share their grail watches, so I figured I’d join in. 🙂

For me, the vintage Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse is simply a masterpiece. I feel like this watch doesn’t get nearly enough credit compared to other iconic dress watches, and interestingly, you almost never see it represented in the builder or aftermarket parts scene (unless I’m missing something).

Anyway, this is my grail watch.

And on a completely unrelated note - I’ll be posting a pretty amazing DJ build here very soon, built for me by a talented member of this community. Looking forward to sharing it!

I’ve only been part of this community for a short time, but I’ve been genuinely impressed by the discussions here, the incredible craftsmanship of many of the builders, and the willingness of people to share their knowledge and projects.
