Today is a special one a project I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time. This is the watch that started it all, or at least that’s what some experts say THE Paul Newman Daytona, reference 6239.
The original sold for an incredible $17 million, setting a new standard and inspiring a whole new wave of vintage watch collectors. This one may not be as fancy, but I put a lot of effort into making it as accurate as possible within the boundaries of what can still be considered affordable.
Built for a client who has now become a friend. Enjoy!
JK base watch with the correct bezel and dial, fully aged and reworked bla bla bla

Hi Everyone,
I’m currently looking for someone in China who can build a custom 36mm Tudor Submariner Ref. 75090 Black project/watch.
Anyone experienced with 16610 aftermarket cases and cyclops alignment?
I am using a Raffles dial and DWO setup for my 16610lv build.
Movement sits correctly and datewheel alignment itself seems fine, but the cyclops appears slightly too far outward toward the rehaut.
Trying to figure out whether this is:
Would appreciate any experiences or recommendations before I start swapping crystals 😅
I appreciate your help!
Built by /u/archaedin and aged further by yours truly.
I just bought this vintage rep sub and the patina on the hour markers and hands looks way off? Any thoughts out there?
Freshly relumed 7928 dial and faded insert for mid day.
Any other 7928 enthusiasts ?

Come on… is this dial insane or what?
This yellow dial is obviously a fantasy dial, but it’s based on a very real watch called the “Arabian Knight.” What makes it even more interesting is that the caseback is stamped 6265, a reference known for using the steel bezel instead of the black acrylic one (yes, plastic not Bakelite, which is a very common mistake people keep repeating, including me some times).
I’m copying the Phillips article below for anyone curious. I’m also about to get the same dial in black, so stay tuned for that…

Now about this build:
JK base, case reshaped for correct thickness and to fit the Viet bezel, ST19 movement adjusted to fit Valjoux spec dials, Viet rivet bracelet correct for the model, Sternkreuz plexy, and aftermarket but correct spec Rolex crown and tube, everything was reworked and carefully improved. If you have questions, I’m happy to answer.
JK base watch reworked to fit the Viet bezel and dial, reinforced pusher adapters, upgraded crown and tube, and finished with a Tropic 21 plexy. Built with care for a really cool guy, enjoy it brother!
Just a little something that I made.
Gen parts: crown, dial, case, bezel, date wheel
Aftermarket: EWP hands, VS3135 movement with eBay aftermarket date wheel, raffles bracelet, EWP end links, Clark's crystal.
Up for sale is a WD/Raffles build I had commissioned by a member here earlier this year. As the title states, it is a WatchDives WD5513 base w/ tophat crystal quick adjust clasp, with Raffles dial, hands, and signed 7mm crown for which the case was drilled to fit. Added was a roulette datewheel on an SW200-1 movement, the gen SW200 datewheel is included as well as the original WatchDives dial/hands on PT5000.
This runs great, and the WD quick adjust clasp actually works really well. It has light signs of wear throughout but bezel and crystal look clean. The roulette date is slightly off in the teens with the 1 a bit hard to see at window edge but not terrible. I just don't wear this much since getting my gen collection solid and my dog is old and sick so I need to get some money together. I'm active on WatchEx and Ebay selling genuine Tudors, I prefer PayPal ff or buyer covers g&s fee, $399 OBO. It will ship expedited 2 day via fedex or USPS anywhere in CONUS. Buy in confidence, but what you see is what you get and no refunds once shipped. Thanks for looking.
