For everyone thinking about going for CAC insert, do it!

Great response, guiding and talk with Crownartcustoms on instagram, helped me choose the insert of my liking, and even advised me what would go better with my build (i sent dial and case photos)
Needless to say i have huge respect for them and will be buying for sure!

Now about the insert itself :
Have handled many viet and other cases - but this insert is just a game changer, it has a gen feeling to it and even the aging of this one (including the pip) is so good that one would actually believe it is ages old insert!
I cannot wait that my viet case comes to put this boy on it!

Commissioned Snowflake in Thorn T023 v2 case.
Aged dial and hands with tamiya, case just buffing out those sharp edges all over the case and fitting a raffles oyster rolex bracelet with 580 endlinks (curved bars) .

The pt5000 is really solid - came with +12s a day from Thorn, regulated it to +3s a day.

Hi all! I know this is not technically a mod or a build, but i have a huge respect for this community and wanted to get your reactions and HONEST opinions on the matter, since i hold your opinions valuable!

I am a long time watch modder, mainly moonswatches, franken builds and others. But far longer a watch enthusiasts and collector.

I am now on the crossroad with my company, and would really love to dive into microbrand waters.

Now these watches i am going to show you have been with me for a long time in my head and on the paper, lately have decided to bring them to life with ai.

Now about the watches:
Origine : manual wound ST1701 movement, 38mm case, dark brown leather strap and overall really vintage feel (60‘s dress watches - inspired by Darwil Swiss made watch that my late grandfather left me

Precision : manual wound ST1901 chronograph movement,38mm case, black leather strap racing strap with white stitching ( mainly inspired by tag heuers vintage carrera )

Abysse : and ofc a classic diver powered by gen eta 2824 movement, 40mm case and stainless steel bracelet ( inspired by vinage omega seamaster and tudor snowflake mostly)

I would really like to build something that would last and be worn for a long time. People say to me yeah that could be profitable: but the truth is, yeah sure every business is all about the profit but if i only looked to turn a quick buck here i wouldve gone with vk63 chrono movement, and maybe nh35 or Asian clone 2824 for my projects.

Another commissioned build for a good friend of mine. Wanted a decent aging but nothing too extreme.
Raffles all over, asian decorated 2824 clone with Tudor rotor, some cg shaping, case dulling/aging, bezel - scratches only. Believe it turned out very nice.

Had commissioned couple of Snowflakes, one client wanted a heavily aged dial and case, the other two somewhere in the middle.

For the heavily aged black snowflake i used Tamiya Sand-Mud followed with a coat of clear matte Tamiya varnish.

Light aging on the black snowflake indices only with Tamiya Light Sand.

And for the blue Snowflake indices only done with Light Sand and Sand.

Have built everything from Rolex, Tudor even a Franken gen Speedmaster. But this one really stands our. Especially when the weather is sunny, hitting 30C, going for a nice walk outside. The dial and that blue seconds hand really pop out

Nastavak Tudora - pošto original kazaljke nisam mogao nigdje naći uzeo sam aftermarket i pokušao ih „ageat“ da patinom budu približno brojčaniku. Trenutno čekam još viet kućište (gen spec), rolex narukvica je od rafflesa i odgovara periodu ovog sata.

Here you can see Raffles 29mm Snowflake dial, then that same one aged with Tamiya, and a 26mm viet Snowflake dial.

Jasno mi je da neće nikad imati vrijednost kao tvornički Speedy ali mi je nebitno jer ga prodavat ne mislim nikada. Kad sam kupio prvi dio od slagalice tamo negdje u 6.mj 2024 nisam ni očekivao da će se ovaj projekt razvući na dvije godine. Čekanje pravih dijelova da uopće budu negdje stavljeni na prodaju i strpljenje dok ih sve nisam kupio će naravno bit nezaboravno.
Kakva su mišljenja?
Idući projekt već čeka : Tudor Submariner Snowflake 9401, zadnja slika 🙂

Recently acquired a 26mm viet dial with nice Lumework on it, but the hands were to light. Since i am waiting on the case and TC hands, figured im gonna play with these and try to match them to the dial.
Used tamiya weathering kit - light sand + mud.
I am pretty satisfied with how it turned out.
Put them in the ziplock with a package of silicagel. Since tamiya is clay based, not to leave any moisture on them.
It doesn’t really matter in my case, but if one was to apply tamiya and then assemble the whole watch he would probably be wondering why does he have fog inside 😂

Since i was waiting so long to be able to make this build (two years parts hunting) it was only reasonable to film it 😂
