Took the 1675 for a trip this weekend and put it through the paces. From fishing to business meetings it handled itself great. This one was originally a yodog build that I upgraded with a Swiss eta movement, gen insert, crystal, custom date wheel, gen crown and gen C&I bracelet. I recently sourced the link connectors for the end links and look forward to swapping the current one a buddy macgyver for me. This is a special watch that sadly I had sold but was able to get back from the buyer and now it will stay with me for other long haul.

Everyone has their pic but for me is the 2220.80. Blend of coaxial and previous gen aesthetics. I love it on the bracelet but just as good on a nato or leather. The pop of red gives it a sporty vibe but the overall presentation allows it go anywhere do anything. What are your thoughts?

I’ve had these two pieces for a while to the point that they’ve become part of my everyday wear. Would love your help identifying the artist or any background info on them if possible. They aren’t signed.

On a separate note I have two other bracelets that need repair. One broke in the middle and needs to be welded back together and the other lost its turquoise. Anyone you recommend that could help me fix them? I would prefer someone experienced in this type of jewelry.

A watch build months the in the making and a piece that combines many of the things I enjoy in the hobby. A new friendship with u/Clarktherealtor the thrill of the hunt and even my first foray into working on watches lol.

While being a simple tool watch, the 1016 has always been a grail of mine, due to its connection with Ian Fleming and James Bond.

I’ll save you the quirky story but the coolest thing was getting to install the crown and stem into the watch to finalize the build. The specs as follows:

Who says Mondays have to suck? Whipped out some steak frites for the fam tonight. Cooked on a stainless steel pan using beef tallow. Au poivre sauce with soy sauce and sherry vinegar since I didn’t have booze 10/10 would recommend

What’s up retro fam! I missed my Sunday post last week but here you have another banger from 1988, a Khaki field MIL-W-46374D. 33mm and lots of character. The inscription on the back is a great reminder of this watches being tools. Anyone has or has had one of these? The newer rendition is pretty cool too.

Continuing last weekends trend of sharing off the beaten path vintage pieces I present you with this D’ior diver with Squale case. Back in the 60s and 70s Squale specialized in manufacturing specialized tool watch components and even pioneered professional dive case patents.

This one features a 31mm case and has a lovely patina showing its over 50 years of history. Setting the date is a bit of pain since it doesn’t have a quick set date but it reminds me that in those days most folks had one watch, something I aspire to do one day 😂.

Rocking this Bucharer Ceinture today. Manual wind, gold plated and pure class. These are watches that harken to a different time when men wore smaller watches and the epitome of a dress watch. Today I rock it with jeans or a suit and it is on of my most confident pieces.

These pieces are great alternatives to vintage Cartier and can be had for a couple hundred bucks!
