I'm trying to improve my skills with blender, specifically the entire process of creating an animation (making models, rigging, environment building, rendering, etc) and figured a fun way to do that would be to try and recreate scenes from books that I enjoy! It would take some time but sounds like a fun project, and one that would help me a whole lot. I was going to simply recreate the first chapter of the first book but tbh its quite boring and would require a lot of character models I wouldn't be able to reuse in many other circumstances (Nancy, Chiron's teacher form, Mrs. Dodds, etc) and doesn't have many great scenes to recreate.

So here I am! I was wondering if anybody had some scenes from the books that would be fun to see animated.

The only real guidelines are to make sure there aren't a metric ton of characters in one scene! Unfortunately I'm not super speedy at making models yet. Interactions between 3-4 specific characters is probably the max.

Scenes with crowds are absolutely fine as long as I can reasonably use blank models for them.

Scenes with dialog are also fine! I plan to overlay audio from audiobooks if needed, which will obviously be credited if I ever post any of these.

Other than that, go wild! This is an exercise for me to learn more about this program and what I can do with it and to practice some 3D animation and cinematography :)

Hi! We're currently having some fun weather in Oklahoma on this fine Monday night at 2AM. I keep seeing lightning strike super duper close outside, like a block away, full lightning strike is visible and for sure hitting something, but no sound comes from it most of the time. We've had lightning hit near us before while we were outside and its always been super loud, but this has also happened before during some storms. What causes it? Why does some lightning make noise but not others? Just a curious person who knows nothing about science. Thanks! 🤗🤗

Currently trying to work on my spark routine and see what works for me and what allows me to stay out longer, especially in the summer as somebody who is very sensitive to the heat! I can barely take 3-4 orders before I want to stop for the day, how are some of you guys staying out for so long?

Headphones and music definitely help me the most! Making sure to pace myself is a huge help as well. Speed walking is my average pace around any store, and doing that for hours on end definitely wore down my energy levels when I first started spark.

Any suggestions help! I'll try anything and would like to see what everyone else does as part of their day

I have a family member who wanted to try out spark in between jobs, knowing that I do it as a side hustle too. During the process they accidentally submitted the wrong insurance file and put the one that was expired instead of their current one. Spark denied them and eventually after jumping through some hoops were told to call customer support, and were then told that they can never apply again. Is this really true? I feel like ive heard stories of people reapplying after a few months after way more than an accadental expired insurance file.

They could be correct, but I've never had great experiences with customer support on apps like these, and often find that the employees never understand your issue, or just tell you bullshit to get rid of you. Is this actually true, or will they be able to reapply in some way somewhere down the line?
