Fly-by night Freight
One hot summer night on the Lehman & Everton, an extra hot shot freight was received at Bryson interchange Bound for Asheville. No. 11 "Izzy" had just returned from an evening excursion run from Logansville. Being readily available and given the ok from management, she was quickly refueled and put on the front of the train, all the old lady and her crew had to do was make it to Sylva, and stay ahead of the night express delayed at Hemingway.
One of the cleaners had hopped in his car and high-tailed it down just past governor's Island, almost to the bridge, and managed to capture the moment the engine came flying past.
