DELTARUNE PINK CHAPTER 6 PURVIEW~!
Mew Mew opened her eyes, consciousness slowly coming to her. She groggily got up from the ground, needing more than just a moment to get her bearings.
The first observation she made was that she was in a super fan’s room, who was also concerningly violent. A well-kept collection of knives was kept on a rack, and in the corner was a… dummy of sorts? It was brutally thrashed and trashed and torn to pieces.
Other than that, it was girly as girly could get. Pink paint job, tons of Mew Mew branded posters, pillows and comforters. All of them were seemingly maintained regularly, which was much more than anyone else would do typically.
An invisible girl opened the closet, the suit gloves and tights hugging her beautiful and bountiful buxom body making something very, VERY repressed deep inside of Mew Mew feel awestruck and awkward.
”MEW MEW!?”
”Hey…” the catgirl waved back awkwardly in response. “Did… Did Kris tell you about me? I was knocked cold from the thingy I did to be here… so I wasn’t really all there when they gave me to you.”
“They did,” Maddie confirmed, scratching the back of her head, gaze casted to the side. “I-I’m sorry for dismissing you earlier, it really should have been obvious you were the same Mew Mew that was in the dark world n stuff.”
”No, no, no, it's fine! Don’t blame yourself for something you couldn’t have figured out.”
“…King clearly told us that they remembered what lightners did to objects.”
”OK maybe A LITTLE obvious, but it's fine! We-We’re still friends, right?”
Maddie glanced at a certain door in her room, and suddenly an intense, invisible blush took over her face. “What? WHAT?? WHAT??? I-I-I SHOULD BE ASKING YOU THAT! Look at this place, it makes me look like I’m some weird, obsessed stalker!”
”I mean, if a stalker looked like you I wouldn’t mind at all…”
That slip of tongue made Mew Mew clap her hands over her mouth, and Maddie audibly gasped, confused and flattered and flustered. But before anything could leave her lips Mew Mew shouted at the irritable ghost. "I-I-I'M NOT GAY!!!"
"Yeah, you're obviously pansexual."
"MYUH!? N-NUH UH! I'M STRAIGHT AS A NOODLE!"
”oh man, I can’t believe the world famous Mew Mew has homophobia…” Maddie said in earnest disappointment to get a reaction out of her. “Looks like I have to leave all of this behind… forever… Goodbye, my oshi.”
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”
Mew Mew’s hands reached out to Maddie, as her clothes fell to the floor, her spirit forever at rest. A rictus of sorrow and agony coursed through her as she grieved on her hands and knees… for a total of 10 seconds before she decided to get up and abuse Maddie’s “absence” to peek into her closet.
As it turns out, the ghost’s commitment to the bit was stronger than the instincts screaming at her to pull Mew Mew away from her wardrobe. She actually wasn’t quite sure why she wanted to, actually. Mew Mew was homophobic right? It’s not like she would sniff her- “Maddie, why do you have Kris’s sweater in your closet?”
…oh my god.
"TH-THEY GAVE IT TO ME ALRIGHT!? So, it's not weird or whatever, okay!?" A teasing smug grew on Mew Mew's face as the opportunity to get back at Maddie presented itself.
In the midst of a fit of villainous laughter, Mew Mew gave the ghost girl a knowing look. “You’re a freak like me, aren’t you?”
“NUH UH! NO PROOF! NONE AT ALL! YOU’RE PROJECTING!!!” In response, Mew Mew silently took a very suggestive set from its packaging, displaying it to the empty room. She did not have to say anything in order to convey her point. ”OK, LOOK! When you cannot feel anything, you uhm… obsess over the idea of… feeling anything. Especially pain.”
“Honestly, mood,” Mew Mew agreed, adding that “When you hate yourself, being punished sometimes feels like a release from that pain… At least for me.” Maddie was really quiet for a while, before she stated how “This is the weirdest thing I have ever bonded over, honestly.”
”Well, do you hate it?”
“No, but, isn’t this like… super homoerotic? I-I mean… you should only discuss this sort of stuff with… people who mean more than friends to you, right???” Mew Mew quickly interjected, a blush overtaking her face. “I-I MEAN, friends with benefits exist, so LIKE I THINK we’re still friends… right? RIGHT!?”
”Though, we did share a body… and that’s a really intimate thing. Since like… you’re allowing me to have so much of your control to myself. It’s… A LOT of trust to give to someone you only think of as a friend, right?”
Can… Can we not? I don’t think I’m ready to discuss this with you… I-I need time to think and sort my feelings out.”
“I… wait,” Mew Mew almost gasped, as ghastly hands held her shoulders. “I think I understand… You made yourself vulnerable to me, and… a part of you doesn’t want to offer your heart, since that means you would be even more exposed, right?”
Maddie patiently waited for Mew Mew, allowing her the time to collect her thoughts. And eventually, the diva remembered how… afraid she was, now that she looked back on it. While Maddie was sharing her body… a part of her was holding her breath, worried about if and when she would take over. Tear away all of her autonomy as she did to a thousand others.
“Yeah, and I still do.”
”Thats a valid concern, as much as I hate to admit it,” Maddie sighed. ”I don’t think I could ever make you feel safe, since I’m a ghost… and no matter what, I’ll always will be a ghost, so I could just… yeah.”
Maddie’s voice became quiet and solemn as she realized that “I’ll always have the power in our relationship.”
Mew Mew was silent, her gaze casted to the floor.
Maddie tilted Mew Mew’s face upwards to meet her eye to eye. “I-I want to show you the form I’ve always wanted. Something that… I’m not fully confident in. Something I’m afraid will be something I’ll just… stop loving one day.”
”Something that makes me afraid of the possibility that… I only like this because it’s new, and not the me I knew before.”
“So please, can… can I show you the parts of me that I make disappear? The truest pieces of my soul, that I don’t have the strength to show to the world…”
”please.”
A saddened smile went across her lips. “Thank you for not saying no, Mew Mew. I hope you can see how much this secret of mine means to me with… with how I-I’m delaying it for as long as I can.”
”You’re scared,” Mew Mew duly noted. Though, instead of a swift and profuse denial, Maddie could only agree. “I am… a-and I’m sorry.”
”It’s fine. I can wait the entire night, honestly…” Maddie pinched her cheek with a barely visible hand. “No, you can’t, silly. I know what you're like; you’re really impatient, especially with love.”
”Well, consider this to be the one time I’m willingly taking it slow,” Mew Mew retorted softly. She walked over to the wardrobe’s lights, a sudden click causing the entire space to be swallowed by darkness. “I know you glow and stuff, but still I-I hope this makes it slightly better for you.“
“You idiot…” Maddie said with a pout, her words defanged and deprived of any venom. “You know I’ll be the only thing in your sight that you’ll be able to actually see, right?”
”O-OH! I uhm…” Maddie held Mew Mew’s hands together in her grasp, the cat girl's utterly embarrassed expression erased by the umbra. “Don’t be sorry. If anything, I-It means that… I can’t hide my true colors… my true light from you.”
Maddie took in several deep breaths, knowing that she’ll never be ready for what’ll happen next. In a burst of courage, Maddie told Mew Mew that ”I’ll show you just who I really am.”
And then, the closet was blinded by golden light.
Maddie lit up the whole room with her beauty. She had fair, lovely skin and luscious hair, warm, soft and vibrant as the setting sun’s rays; her eyes and now fiery thorns were a distinct shade of green, unique and bright with life and personality. Jade and gold…
They were the colors and namesakes of valuable materials, fitting for a priceless treasure like Maddie to adorn. Though… Mew Mew was currently too busy kicking and screaming on the floor to appreciate this.
She was clutching her eyes and rolling everywhere, scre—
”MY EEEEEYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS!!!”
…screaming in pain. Maddie, being oh so used to being mocked and ridiculed, was about to ask if she REALLY was that ugly… before she realized she IS literally bright enough to light up a whole room with her beauty.
Maddie held her hands over her mouth in horror as she realized that Mew Mew’s burning eyes were emitting smoke, charred to a crisp. “MEW MEW ARE YOU OKAY!?”
Mew Mew peeked through her fingers, and Maddie could see that her eyes were fine, much to her relief. Though, that too was eventually overtaken by confusion as Mew Mew suddenly freaked out even more.
The diva’s hands were completely buried in her face as she squirmed and struggled on the smooth wooden floor at an even more frantic pace. “I… uhm. Me-“
Mew Mew pointed at Maddie, her face flushed from the neck up and her irises reduced to small, stylized swirls as she spiraled out. “WEA-WE-WEA-W-W-W-WE-WEA-WEA-WEAR CLOTHES YOU EXHIBITIONIST!!!”
oh.
No matter how hard she tried to hide it, it was clear that Mew Mew was having a gay panic attack. She was sweating bullets, and now even redder in the face than ever before.
The idol’s eyes couldn’t decide whenever to stare, or to avoid Maddie in general like it was as bad of an idea as staring into the sun. Thus, she sat here, crosseyed.
In sweaters, bodysuits and stockings, Maddie watched Mew Mew’s ashamed astonishment with growing amounts of concern. “You… you uhm. Gay is okay, you know?”
Maddie patted Mew Mew on the head for emphasis, trying to scritch the area behind her ears to comfort her. Though, her words were the thing that snapped her out of it… partially. “Buh…bbuh I can’t choose between you and Kris… you both mean so much to me…”
”We had our first kiss with Kris, didn’t we? And… Kris loves both of us, they said it themself! You can… We can both date them… and—”
The idea completely broke Mew Mew out of her trance. “WA-WAIT! I uhm… we haven’t spent THAT MUCH time together. So… this weird romance thingamajig we have c-can’t possibly work out!!! You look up to me as an Idol, and IonlyfeelsuperficallustforyousoIT’LLJUSTEVENTUALLYFALLAPARTRIGHT!?”
Maddie looked to the side, her cheeks flushed. “Well, we… we can just get to know each other, then. We both enjoyed sharing a body, so… maybe there’s some sort of chemistry between us? I… I have room in my heart for you, you know.”
“A-Alright, fine! Tell me about yourself! I bet there’s like 3 different things that’ll make it NEVER work between us!” And Maddie found herself refuting that demand, asking Mew Mew to “Tell me more about yourself too, okay? I would… like to know the real you.”
Mew Mew closed her eyes, crossing her arms beneath her chest with a harumpf. “I-I… well, Besides the hyperactive vocaloid pop stuff people AND myself use my voice for, I like moody stuff too.”
”I always wanted to do greyer and bluer songs during my idol career, but I couldn’t because people look to me for happiness! And… I was restricted to that for a while. And… as it turns out, nobody uses my voice bank for those sorts of things.”
”I, well… besides the music stuff involving you, I also like grunge and alternative rock! Well, something along those lines,” Maddie said while scratching the back of her head.
“On that note, I swear people don't put music in specific genres anymore, just ‘pop’ ‘rock’ ‘hip-hop’ and all those umbrella terms… makes it really hard to really define any of this stuff,” the golden ghost complained. Mew Mew chimed in to that thought.
”I KNOW RIGHT!? I swear, wandering into GOOD music that I LIKE on internet is an act of god in of itself.” Maddie twirled her locks as she asked the idol want to ”Do you uhm… Do you want to listen to my playlist?”
”Sure; on speakers too if you have any.” Maddie then fished a wireless speaker out from what seems to be a secondary closet of her room.
A good chunk of time was spent just sitting next to each other, commentating on the songs but overall enjoying each other’s presence as the hours passed with birz of idle conversation coming and going.
it almost made them forget that “WH-WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS 2 AM IN THE MORNING!?”
”i mean, you are technically an object, so… do you even need sleep?” The catgirl turned the question back Maddie, asking her “Well uhm. What about you then?”
”I normally don’t need any either, but… I-I uh, fell asleep at Kris’s place because exerting myself like that in the darkworld took what little life I still had out of me.”
With her hands clasped, Maddie confessed that “I-I-I’m a fatass NEET who barely goes out or exercises.”
“How do ghosts get in their cardio anyways…?” Mew Mew’s question got only a shrug out of Maddie, who was just as confused as the diva. “I-I-I DUNNO??? I heard of it, but I never figured it out.”
“So uhm. Either way, do you do Karaoke?”
”OH, yeah of course!” Maddie rushed to the aforementioned 2nd closet to excitably get her Mew Mew themed karaoke machine, overjoyed at the prospect of singing with her muse, and hearing her voice in person. “Any songs you have in mind~?”
That cheer in Maddie's voice made Mew Mew's heart flutter in her chest, flattered at the idea she could make someone normally so grumpy so happy. And that ember of joy became a bonfire of euphoria as she got a good look at Maddie's expression:
A wide, earnest smile wide across her lips, and a light was within the glass of her eyes, sparkling with a ecstatic enthusiasm that ended up with Mew Mew's fluster showing on her face, painting it a pretty and precious pink like her hair.
for the fist time in a long while, Mew Mew felt… shy. Not in an ashamed or overwhelmed sort of way… but, she had cold feet. Nervously thinking of whenever Maddie would harshly judge her taste in music.
The diva realized that she wanted Maddie to genuinely love her as more than just an idol.
To distract herself from the thought, she pointed out how they both became sidetracked. “H-HEY, WAIT I-I’M SUPPOSED TO LEARN MORE ABOUT YOU, N-NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND! BESIDES, ANY FAN OF MINE WOULD ALREADY KNOW I LIKE KARAOKE!!!”
”Well… did you know that you inspired me to get into singing too? I’m not good at making my own songs, but… you gave me confidence in my own voice.”
Mew Mew blinked. “myuh???”
“Before, when I was really, REALLY, REALLY angry at myself and everyone around me, I-I… Sounded like a poor impression of you. I hated myself… more than I already did because people made fun of me for sounding like that… and, as a result, I’ve grown to hate you.”
“When I bothered to listen to one of your songs, to see what audible abomination I was being compared to, I-I… I thought it was alright, I guess. Didn’t get why people thought being compared to you was an insult, since you sounded okay, if not a bit weird at the time.”
“Then… I found myself listening to more of your tracks while nobody was looking. And that eventually turned into me tuning into any song that had you in it, and putting each and every one of them on repeat until… well, until I could recite EVERY single lyric from memory.”
”And before I knew it, I-I-I came to adore how you sounded. And… because of that, I-I wanted to train my voice, practice every day until I sounded exactly like you as a way to grow closer to someone who didn’t even exist. That was, until Kris had a talk with me about this.”
”They reminded me of my own worth, proved that there are people who would still love me for me, and… a-and made me notice that my efforts to be like you stopped coming from a place of love and started being from a endless chasm of self hatred. So… that’s why I want to sing.”
“I-I… I… I… I WANT YOU TO HEAR JUST HOW MUCH I DEDICATE MY VOICE TO THE PERSON WHO GAVE ME THE STRENGTH TO LOVE MYSELF…!”
That confession took all of Maddie’s courage, evident in the way her face flared up in embarrassment, now a ghostly green. Mew Mew felt like she was on the verge of a heart attack.
When she was an idol in her anime, Mew Mew always felt like nothing she did… mattered, in a sense. She performed… well, she WOULD perform for the happiness of others. But, she never really felt the impact she had on people after the show’s over.
Her confession made Mew Mew come to fully realize just how much she had changed Maddie’s life; it went past simple admiration and respect, and it was nothing like the obsession of the stans she had once cultivated with her strength to fill the empty hole in her heart.
The ghost’s passion for the once virtual idol was… for her. Every part of herself, from her idol work to her… personal life. Maddie seemingly adored all of it.
Somehow, a part of felt like she was assuming things. “I… before we do that, I want to know what you think about… my anime.” Without skipping a beat, Maddie shot an answer back as soon as she was done with her ask. ”It makes me want to see you smile again. I… I want to make you feel happy again.”
“Then… let’s sing together, please,” Mew Mew bashfully proposed, a hand reaching for the other microphone. “I think we would both be doing each other a disservice if only one of us sung.”
“Bah, you don’t even know how well I sing,” Maddie weakly protested, flattered at how confident Mew Mew was about her performance. “You think I’ll sound good just because I kinda sound like you?”
“No, I know that you’ll sound spectacular because… because I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of your voice.“ Both of them now sported healthy blushes on their face, both equally as embarrassed, but serene all the same as the mood melted into something comforting.
…though, only one grew in intensity in response to the unfamiliar instrumental coming from the speakers. Maddie hurriedly snatched her phone and immediately skipped to the next track to save herself the embarrassment.
Mew Mew looked at her with pleading eyes. Maddie looked to the side as she reluctantly ran it back. There, on the top of the screen of the karaoke machine read the name of a song completely unfamiliar to the cat girl:
“NOW PLAYING: CUTIE MEW MEW MAGIC~! (WIP)”

DELTARUNE PINK CHAPTER 5 DEMO
After returning Mew Mew to a very angry (yet secretly very happy) Maddie, still brewing in her embarrassment, Kris decided to go to the library to pay a visit.
Kris made their presence known to Berdly, who was staring intensely at a book like he was actually bothering to read it.
”Yo.”
Berdly twisted his head 180 degrees to look at Kris, his chin raised to glare at them with his signature look of superiority™. “Chris Dreamer, just what is it do you plan to do now?”
”I didn’t even do anything yet,” Kris said with a smirk on thier lips. Berdly squinted at this, crossing his arms behind his back… then across his chest, deciding that it looked awkward.
“Don’t you try to lie; an idiot could see the mischievous and malicious intentions behind that sinister smile.”
”You’re planning to PRANK me, correct? Well, No matter. Whatever you’re daring to do, you will soon see that I shall make you look stupid in comparison to MY intellectual prowess,” Berdly proudly proclaimed, puffing up his… back, somehow…?
“I swear on the angel I won’t do a thing, honest!” Kris could feel both their charisma and confidence slowly leave their body in real time, as they are painfully reminded of how awkward they are when they were talking to anyone else besides Maddie and Mew Mew.
“I-I… I just wanted to ask if we could hang out… n stuff.” The bluest bird’s smug grin melted off his face as he took a moment to actually process the fact that someone wanted to hang out with him of all people. He properly turned around to address the cage.
“Why, of course we can go out together! After all, who could get sick of being in my presence?” The cage immediately interjected by say that “I’m not interested”, causing Berdly to immediately course correct by saying that “and by that, I mean hanging out platonically!”
Kris rolled their eyes at the outward obnoxiousness, tilting their head slightly to allow their bangs to conceal their annoyance with him.
Berdly turned his head to the side to allow the nonexistent wind to blow his nonexistent hair… or rather, feathers. “Now tell me Christopher, where shall we rendezvous?”
“Super smashing fighters at your place?”
“Ah, it seems like you have good taste after all. I’ll enjoy wiping the floor with you!”
Berdly looked down from his bedroom window in concern, watching as Kris was climbed up the bricks to reach the 2nd floor his personal abode was at.
The azure avian squawked with shock as Kris violently slapped his windowsill, pulling themselves up to and through the window. Kris rolled onto the floor, panting and out of breath. And for a while, Berdly thought they were dead.
”…Chris?” Berdly lightly nudged Kris with his feet, unsure of how to approach this uniquely awkward situation. “Are… Are you okay???”
A shrill, and undeniably manly scream left Berdly’s beak and Kris suddenly gave his ankle a death grip, causing him to trip and fall to the floor. “YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH OH MY GOD get it off get it off get it OFF GET IT OFF GET IT OFF GET IT OFF GET IT OFF GET IT OFF—“
As he was starting to kick and scream like a bitch, Kris got up, wheezing with the little air that wasn’t knocked out their lungs from their earlier stunt, and Berdly’s panicked kicking. ”hah… hah… Got you good, didn’t I?”
“I-I… YEAH!? GETTING HERE LIKE THAT WOULD GET ANYONE! YOURE BASICALLY BREAKING AND ENTERING MY HOUSE!” Remorse showed on Kris’s face as they admitted that “…shit, yeah, you’re right. Kinda don’t regret it though.”
Berdly cocked an eyebrow at that. “Why wouldn’t you? I can call the police, and you wouldn’t even have an alibi to fall back on!” Kris actually had to take a moment to think about why the fuck they did that.
”I… well, you really wouldn’t take me seriously if I didn’t do anything impressive, I guess? You seem really obsessed with intelligence and all that jargon, so I thought that… yeah.” Kris flopped back onto the floor from sheer exhaustion as they were starting to get up, a defeated wheeze following right after.
A silence came between the two, with Berdly being bereft of words and Kris still being bereft of breath.
How hard they were trying to impress him with their strength reminded him of… something personal. Whatever it was, the notion that Kris felt the need to appeal to him made Berdly feel genuinely uncomfortable.
After silently thanking the angel for the fact that Kris was too winded to see his uneasiness show on his face, Berdly took the Super smashing fighters cartridge and uneasily jammed it into the console, clearing his throat to get the cage’s attention.
Kris looked up from the floor to see Berdly in his nest-like bed, which was suspended above the ground by several thick cords across its rim. “The time for dramatics is over, Chris.”
”Right now, it’s our skills that will do the talking for us.”
Kris crawled onto the bed, flopping onto it next to Berdly. After getting comfortable Kris yawned as they grabbed the controller; the way they were forcing their eyelids to make them stay open being very apparent to the gamer beside them.
It was silent between them, though Berdly eyes kept going between Kris, and the screen, worried for them. Gritting his teeth, the blue nerd decided that perhaps some sacrifices need to be made in the name of friendship. “Hey Chris, you need some gaymersupps?”
“…what is that??? Sorry, I uh, work… woke up at like 3 AM in the morbing and hte exhaustion or whatever is kicking inso yeah…”
”I can’t believe I’m saying these words out loud, buh-bu-buh-but thanks to my sponsor GAYmersups I now hahahave my VERY OWN energy drink: Gamer Genius Guice Gazillion™,” Berdly sputtered out, trying and failing to say their piece whilst in the middle of laughing their ass off.
“The juice is spelt with a g, and it’s… ITS the ultimate blueberry bahja blast beverage that puts every other fuh-ffuckFUCKING GAMER beverage on this planet to shame. I’m not kidding either, I’m being deadass when I say it’s my own flavor, and here's why it’s different:”
A half-awake Kris squinted at Berdly as he went on a monologue about how the other energy drinks out there were too much, how he made Gamer Genius Guice Gazillion™ in response, with the help of gaymersupps.
It was only when Berdly got to the health benefits and contents of his gaymersupps flavor that Kris’s sleep deprived mind finally realized that “You’re actually SPONSORED BY A COMPANY!?”
“Yeah,” Berdly said all too casually. “I told you and everyone before in class, I’m a famous youtuber with around 2 million subscribers, but none of you believed me!”
”What do you even make videos of!?” Berdly gave Kris yet another signature look of superiority**™**, looking down at Kris from his beak in an almost comical expression of egomania.
“Why, look around and take in ALL of the pop culture that surrounds us. It should be obvious even to someone like you, right?”
As Kris looked around his room, Berdly made a drink from his own flavor, mixing it thoroughly with a bottle of SMRTwater he had in his minifridge. “You uh… do video game reviews?”
“Correct! And also, competitive super smashing fighters' stuff,” Berdly proudly proclaimed as he gestured to a surprisingly stacked shelf of gold and platinum trophies with labels such as ‘smash-con’, ‘get on my level”, ‘the big house’ ‘EVO’ and ‘Smash summit’.
Unfortunately for Berdly’s pride, these were like his YouTube channel and didn’t really prove anything in particular to anyone in hometown. Well, anything else besides the already VERY well-established fact that he is a massive fucking nerd.
As annoying as the avian is, accumulating all of those trophies at least demanded a modicum of respect… in fact, it kind of reminded them of Asriel in a way.
”Huh… you must be doing this for a long, long time,” kris commentated, now gazing at the labels that lined the prestigious paperweights, some going as far back as 5 years ago.
A new sort of respect was forming in Kris, now understandable why Berdly had such an immense ego and an immense need to prove himself a bit better than before. Visible in the way that their gaze overstayed their welcome at the glistening gold and pretty platinum.
Silently, Kris wondered if Asriel would have ended up like Berdly if nobody recognized how good he was at sports, no matter how many precious metals lined his shelves.
Berdly couldn't decide whenever to soak in the cage’s newfound admiration or be even more worried at how it would push Kris to match him at his own game.
Though, before he can sit on it, he reeled in the thought, thinking that it was too early and too presumptuous to diagnose Kris with any of HIS issues. He was just projecting… maybe.
Berdly tried to forget all of the evidence that told him otherwise as he finished making his drink. ”Do you want anything, Chris?”
"Chocolate milk and I'll let you smash my brains out." Berdly went to get some from his fridge until what Kris said finally registered to him. Berdly head violently snapped 180 degrees, looking up from his glasses to give Kris a raised eyebrow. It was so sudden, that it got Kris to actually jolt back from shock.
"Repeat that in my good ear, Christopher "Kris" Dreamer?"
whilst dying from the self-inflicted embarrassment their slip up lead to, Kris shouted out that "I FUCKING LOVE CHOCOLATE, OKAY!?" Kris gestured to the monitor, which was still on the starting screen of the game. "Besides, I meant in like. Super smashing fighters. Not my fault you're horny."
"IF I WAS, then I would at least have a much tighter leash on what I blurt out," Berdly retorted, tossing the bottle at Kris. It bonked them on the face and fell onto the bed at same time Berdly leapt into it, completely unbothered by whatever the freak next to him just said moments before... much to Kris's relief.
On the character select screen, Berdly’s cursor decided to lock onto a mid tier rather than his main. Surprisingly enough, Kris chose a competent character to play as: SWORD.NES
”I still don’t understand why they changed HERO_SWORD’s name to that,” Kris dully complained, airing their grievances.
“Didn’t know there was someone who bothered to say the ‘underscore’ part of their name out loud.” The cage could only shrug in response. “Its for the funny.”
after they both decided that they were ready, the match began.
To make a long story short: the next 5 or so rounds were pretty tense.
The effort Berdly exerted to be a fun to fight opponent added a strain to his enjoyment, which was only counteracted by casual air of the situation around him.
Kris was sweating bullets; consistently, so far, every fight was an uphill battle that they barely managed to win thanks to how Berdly occasionally fumbled last minute under pressure, or had their edge sanded down to a manageable level due to the length of the match.
Still, Kris could deduce that “You’re holding back.”
”what? Chris, I’m sweating my ass off here! I didn’t even know you could wavedash,” Berdly panted, making a half-truth from a fact and a lie.
“Not saying I’m not thankful for fact you are. In fact, I’m more than glad that you didn’t decide to curbstomp me into the floor,” Kris confessed. After a brief pause, Kris shyly asked something from Berdly. “…Do you think you can teach me or whatever? I want to at least keep up with you, y’know.”
Berdly agreed with a bit reluctance, still unsure if he was only instilling the same experiences he went through within them. “Why of course! But don't expect to get to where I am in one night.”
”…eh, I don’t ever wanna become a extreme fighting game nerd. Only enough to truly get to know you for you,” Kris said with a yawn. Berdly squinted at them. “What do you mean—“
”Despite how annoying you try to be, you’re actually pretty nice to hang around. Also, a fucking liar; I have not seen a single academic textbook in your room or anything that would indicate you actually bother to study in your free time."
"Did... Did you just come here so you can tell everyone who I really am???" Berdly asked, heartbroken. "I'll be so for real with you nobody in class could give less of a shit about how smart you are,” Kris said, addressing Berdly's worries directly. "If anything, insisting on it just makes you look more unbearable than you actually are."
I feel like im fucking up berdly’s characterization can you tell me if it sounds like him
DELTARUNE PINK CHAPTER 4 TODAY TODAY TODAY READ IT NOOOW
THE DELTARUNE PINK - Chapter 4 - Your_Average_Bystander IS REAAAAAALLLLLL
archiveofourown.orgDELTARUNE PINK CHAPTER 4 TOMMORROW RAAAAAAAAGHHHHHH
something im stuck on for chapter 4 for deltarune pink.
Do you think bringing mew mew into the lightworld is even a good idea?
Heres the whole explanation behind it:
The ectoplasm stuff put into the figurine (Maddie accidentally possessing her, the duration of which the two were pink, the gift before the fountain sealing) brought Mew Mew the character to life on accident, due to Maddie’s intent to be Mew Mew the character rather than Mew Mew the design.
This makes Mew Mew a special sort of ghost lightner, which can choose to inhabit anything that resembles Mew Mew the the design enough. Thus transforming its normally lifeless form into an organic body flesh blood and everything to fit Mew Mew's taste, sans maybe the clothing.
Merchandise is technically a part of her, due to how its associated with the character. This is normally useless, but in the dark world she can call upon the darkner versions of this mechandise remotely on command due to the affiliation. (thus how she summons the karaoke machine and whatever in chapter 2 of deltarune pink)
is this complete bullshit? let me know, please. FYI this was considered and set up Is because I’m afraid that mew mew as a character will be left in the dust if i didn’t.
Thank you for your time.
