I hated that finale and it soured the show for me. I loved a lot
Of what I saw throughout the series but there is no denying that it was a “ Surf Dracula” show. I seriously hate what John is being set up to be and how he “ made his own oath”. I feel like the sinestro plotline just gets left there hanging, while John get to be not green lantern with a ring. Hal Jordan is dead and his killer is just left to do her own thing. I really wanted to love this series. anxously awaited every week for a new episode and was so excited to see the culmination of it all and I have been left with nothing but disappointment. I hope other enjoyed but this has been the first real let down of James Gunn’s DCEU. Shit even smallville with its limited budget managed to feel like more of a superhero show.
EDIT: some people read this and got the impression I wanted some big superhero CGI fight to end it out. What I wanted was a show that lived up to its namesake and respected the characters it’s adapting. the casting is great do not get me wrong, but hal is dead ( maybe he is revived as parallax for season 2 idk and idc at this point.) john is not a green lantern and his “oath” does not feel like the john I know. I simply and genuonly do not like the direction they are >!twling!< these fhatachters, and I feel disappointment at that.
