Creative Planning vs CAPTRUST

Can’t find much about this online.

Are advisors at these firms allowed to choose their own tech stack? Does the firm pay for any of it and/or provide at a discount?

Financial planning ? EMoney or Right Capital?

Note taking? Jump or Zocks or nothing?

Prospecting? Finny or one of the many others

AI Tools

Would love to hear what AI tools agents are using that have made a meaningful impact on your business.

I’m in wealth management, and the two professions have always struck me as surprisingly similar, so I’m looking for ideas we can learn from.

If you’re willing to share, I’d love to know:
- Your firm
- The AI tool(s) you use
- What you use them for
- Whether you’d actually recommend them

Dispatch worth it?

Looking at onboarding/data-gathering tools and Dispatch keeps coming up.

For those of you actually using it (or have evaluated using it):

- How much time is it saving you per new client? Trying to figure out if the ROI is real or marketing.

- Does it actually made the onboarding experience better for clients, or is it mostly a back-office efficiency thing?

- What’s the pricing like? Per seat, per client, flat platform fee? Hard to find straight answers on how they charge.

AI is Eating the CRM

I just read Craig Iskowitz latest article, titled “The AI Notetaker is Eating Your CRM”.

It’s quite a compelling argument that the traditional CRM is “being demoted” and AI Notetakers are becoming a natural successor.

But I’m not sold…

In the next 3-5 years could you actually see yourself / firm getting rid of your current CRM subscription if your notetaker had robust native contacts?

What does the “notetaker” need to do in order to prove that the risk is worth the reward?

Claude Capabilities

Been messing around with Claude for a few months. Set up a couple daily co-works that scan news our clients care about and read through my emails to flag what I need to follow up on.

It’s great, but idk if I am using Claude to the best of its abilities.

Hearing about people building agents that do more robust / end to end tasks though.

Anyone built something that actually works? Or conversely, have you tried to build something without much luck?

FINNY vs WealthFeed vs Others

Reading Kitces May 2026 Advisor Tech blog

There is a large segment on AI tools for outbound prospecting

It notes that only 7% of advisors report using these tools. Feels super low.

Do you and your firm use them? Have you found success in them? Which of these providers is the “best”?

Interested in signing up for some trials.

Porterhouse SMA

Curious what this sub thinks about the new Ritholtz “Porterhouse” SMA launch.

Would you position something like this to clients?

I genuinely like and trust a lot of the Ritholtz content/thought leadership. On the other hand, there’s a difference between good market commentary and trusting an actual investment product with client capital.

Do you view this as:
- a legitimate differentiated offering?
- mostly brand monetization?
- something else

AI Desires

Made a post recently asking for feedback on notetakers and got great responses from this sub, so coming back for more.

If AI could do anything for you, what would you want it to do?

Any feature or task you wish it would take over?

Could be something you actively want, or just a pain point you’d love to get rid of.

My team is looking to make investments and are asking vendors about their roadmaps. Hoping this could inform some of our questions.

Jump vs Other Notetakers

My firm is reviewing notetakers. Would love some crowdsourced info on what’s best. We are currently looking at a few but leaning towards Jump.

My questions:

Do you use a notetaker for your practice?

If so, Which one?

Why do you think it is better than the others?

Why did you choose Jump?

Currently choosing an AI notetaker and the team is pretty sold on Jump.

Before we make the decision I’m seeking to know why others made the choice to go with them OR to go with their competitors?

What was it that swayed you to go with one firm over another? What’s were the true differentiators?
