Update to my Accident with my Ariya
After 12k in repairs (insurance paid), I finally have my car back. Unfortunately, the shop messed up on the hood. When I opened the hood the next day and closed it, there was some damage on the top part under the hinge. I'm going to have to take it back to have them replace the hood again. My wife suggested I should push them to use an OEM hood this time, but I'm not sure they will go for it. For the most part, I feel they did a good job. Paint matches really well and everything still works, lights, turn signals, etc. Nothing mechanical was damaged.
So, after all is said and done, happy to have my car back! There is a gap between the hood and the lights and front end, but I can't remember if that's the way the factory hood was or if the aftermarket part just doesn't fit perfectly.
