Don't Forget to Wash Your Plate! And if you have a H2 Series printer, this will make the big plate easier.

When I upgraded to an H2S, the plates were way bigger and heavier than I realized and really difficult to clean without getting fingers all over the print surface trying to hold it still or trying to hold one edge against my chest (almost like a violin) while drying, so I finally decided to design this stand.

FYI when you touch the surface you have a good chance of getting oils from your skin on the plate that might not be noticeable until you try printing something flat and you get spots on your plate that don't stick.

Now I can wash and dry it without ever touching the build surface with my fingers. Also, I realized as a secondary benefit, I can use this stand if I want to take a plate out early so I can let it cool while printing with another plate.

Here is the link if you think it will help you as well:

Comments and suggestions are welcome - about the design.

EDIT - Apparently some are more interested in the horror of the fact that someone actually washes their build plate and would rather wage personal attacks on those that do. If you don't wash your plate then obviously this model isn't for you so be a grown up and move on. If people don't think the stand is what then that's their choice - I respect that. I made this for me to make cleaning the plates a little easier and decided to share it.

My Contribution to the Packout Madness

I like the Milwaukee Packout stuff as much as anyone, but I hadn't contributed any Packout designs to the community yet. Also, I wanted something fun for my desk, so I made this Desk Organizer that has different inserts to customize what can be put into it.

No More Twist on TPU Feed Assist

Anyone who keeps their AMS HT or filament dryer next to their printer for feeding the TPU Assist knows what I mean when I say it is a total pain to use the feed assist. You either mount it behind the printer and have to "twist" around back there trying to operate it or mount it next to the printer and end up with a bad bend in the tube or it even blocks the AMS HT lid from opening.

To me the ideal solution was to integrate the controls right there with the AMS HT and keep the extruder in the back, so I designed this feed assist kit. I am sure it isn't for everyone but for me it was a gamechanger (and a back saver). It is soooo much easier to run TPU now. Now I just need to rig something up where I don't have to touch the tubing when I want to switch back and forth.

Who Needs Ikea When You Can Make Your Own Filament Shelf (or Bookshelf)

EDIT: The shelves are made of WOOD and only the risers are printed. Apparently, I didn't make that clear enough for some people.

I really needed something that would fit my space exactly and fit as many filament boxes on it as possible - and look nice! Searching through the many options at Ikea and similar, I just couldn't find the right dimensions. Either the shelves were too close or too far apart, too deep, too shallow, etc. So, I decided to just build my own using a combination of wood for the shelves and printed risers. It ended up being quite a challenge, but now I get to smile every time I look at it.

Even though it isn't what everyone is looking for, I decided to go ahead and share it for others looking to make their own. I went with an industrial look but added a couple other riser options in case someone wants something a little different.
